We have stayed here before , this trip of five days , was extended by a further two nights The management and staff of this homely hotel know their craft. The aim is to make the visitor / client comfortable…..ready for work or pleasure. The rooms are spot less , the beds ..large And the breakfeast alone I’d worth the trip up north ha ha …. I stayed here to attend the cricket test. It is a short walk from the ground with plenty of restaurants and pubs in close proximity, yet the hotel is in a very quiet leafy street. I had a lovely bright and fresh room looking out to the trees. The bed was really comfortable and the en-suite large and spotless. A very good full breakfast was included and for anyone with a car, there is amply on-site parking. Finally, I couldn't speak more highly of the staff. Right from the start they were friendly and helpful, but when I got sick during my stay (no fault of the hotel), the staff went out of their way to assist me and to ensure my wellbeing. This is an exceptional hotel that I highly recommend.

I mean, there's barely anything to dislike in this place, I think it did more than what I was expecting, specially the tea and coffee facilities in the lounge with unlimited drinks.... To be able to prepare myself a cup of hot chocolate, which was wonderful 😍, wherever I wanted was amazing! The room was very clean, bed very comfortable, it was well isolated both noise and heating. The garden around is just beautiful, there's a picture of it covered in snow, looks majestic. The breakfast oh the breakfast 🤤, one of the best English breakfasts I've had.
