The rooms were magnificent as was the view from them. Food in the dining room was excellent, and the staff were helpful and pleasant. It was a wonderful place and I would love to go again.

very nice clean and well tidy food good if you like a lot of fish, they also make a great soup. And I take my hat off to the chef Mikel for his black garlic truffle and butter with homemade bread, and last but not least the staff very well mannered and special thanks to the wonderful lady who brought our breakfast each morning.

We had a fabulous 5 night stay at Melfort village. The accommodation was very well equipped and they even offer extra equipment such as slow cookers. It's quiet and in a beautiful location. They called us the week before to make sure we brought everything we needed with us as the nearest supermarket is 30 minutes away in Oban. We also booked massages for our last day - highly recommended! I would recommend Melfort Village for a quiet, secluded, self catering break.

We stayed for just one night at Melfort House but I wish we could have stayed much longer. The house is ideally situated by a lake with the most amazing surroundings, walking lanes, sheep and the chirping birds. From the moment you step inside the house, Matthew is the most accomodating host, kind and welcoming. The room felt like a Jane Austen dream and breakfast was enjoyed in the intimacy of the living room together with the other guests, the presentation is exquisite! Next time I will make sure to book several nights!

Dude, this place was seriously one of the best stays ever! The place is amazing, and even getting there is like, you're going to heaven. The cabin by the sea is huge and has everything. I'd go back just for the cabin and the views. Plus, there's a super cozy bar, and the live music is the best part.

    Darren and Karen are wonderful hosts. The Old Cottage is a perfect place to stay to explore the area. Stunning location and fabulous accommodation! My room was very comfortable and spacious, and the bed was amazing! Excellent breakfast too! Everything about my stay was superb and I will be back. Highly recommend!

    Loads to see and do in the area for if you like the outdoors. Hill walking, water sports available. Loch Melfort Hotel is handy for good food and drink. Easy access to west coast and all its attractions.

    Very comfortable, nice room and en suite. Plenty of space.

    Very comfortable, nice room and en suite. Plenty of space. Easy to book a table for an evening meal at the nearby Hotel. The B&B breakfast next morning was great. Friendly hosts who helped all guests feel at home. Excellent supply of books and tourist info.
