This is an exceptionally comfortable, spacious and welcoming property. It is warm and well-furnished. Fixtures and fittings all of a high standard and work well. Great views across the surrounding farmland and then into the hills, and big windows to enjoy them! Helpful host met me with complimentary milk and cakes. Well-organised, explanatory notes around the place. Good wifi, certainly for such a remote location. Good shower, excellent bed. A bunch of acrobatic pied wagtails cavort around the cottage. The geographical 'centre of Scotland' is a couple of miles along the Glen Truim road towards Newtonmore, marked by a big cairn and signage.

A truly comfortable hotel with great attention to detail — everything from the room design to the cleanliness was impeccable. The bed was extremely cozy, and the atmosphere felt calm and welcoming. Stayed on a one night dinner, bed & breakfast package at short notice, after our accommodation in Fort William fell through. The staff welcomed us warmly and booked us for dinner and breakfast at a busy time, with only an hours notice of our booking. We stayed in the Masters room and it is huge! Dinner and breakfast were both excellent and the staff were all friendly and helpful. Wouldn’t hesitate to stay again and thoroughly enjoyed our unexpected stay at this lovely old hotel.

The staff was extremely helpful and had very good suggestions about things to do around the property. Easy to reach by car, and tasty breakfast! They have vegetarian breakfast option also. Walking distance from a Folk museum (free entry) and must visit !

Amazing breakfast, beautifully cooked with so many choices if you didnt want a full traditional breakfast. I was going on a big 9 hour hike so opted for the full traditional and it kept me full all day and I didnt even eat the food I had in my bag for the hike 🤣. Loved their two beautiful dogs keeping us company during breakfast too but if you're not keen on animals when your eating im sure theyd happily keep them away but we didnt mind at all, it was lovely. Great hosts and can tell they're passionate about giving their guests the best stay they can. Will 100% be back if hiking in the area again.
