The size of the room was spacious and comfortable. The area and the building itself is set in a peaceful and quite location which is great if you are looking for a country retreat or romantic getaway. The restaurant was perfectly located with a beautiful view over the gardens and the food was great.

communication was excellent, the owners friendly and the hospitality top notch. The cottage itself is stunning, old and modernised without losing its beauty. The cottage was larger than we thought, the second lounge was brilliant for the teenagers gaming.Parking was no problem for 2 cars. I can not rate Ivy Bank enough, absolutely stunning.

The hosts were very helpful as we needed a dish to use for cooking, and they provided and asked if we needed anything else. Also helped with places to visit in the local area. No freezer provided but that's the only thing I could say to improve on. Lovely location in the middle of nowhere tucked away.

This review is for ‘room 1, bridal suite, red room’. The room is bigger then my apartment. I thought I was a lady in an episode of Brighton. The bed was huge, the must need at least 2 people to make the bed. The manor house is set in beautiful forest on top of hill with beautiful views. An golden eagle landed in front of my car while I was driving up to the house. They are definitely underselling this and the photos don’t do it justice. You enter into your own hallway, to the left is the enormous red bedroom with period features and furniture. Down the hall to the right your sitting room. In the middle right the main entrance is the bathroom. The toilet has the best view 😂. Staff is super nice and helpful. Beef stew at diner was delicious, set next to a local neighbor that eats there every Friday night. I especially loved the music the young staff had on, it felt cosy.

Absolutely amazing dinner in the restaurant worth staying just for this. Who would have guessed food of this quality in such an unassuming location. We were looking for a mid way point to break our journey and we chose the Auldgirth Inn on location and the fact we could eat dinner there. We had no idea how good the food was going to be! A lovely big bathroom although dated. Good breakfast included. Good value for money.

We had a very nice stay at the Auldgirth Inn! Were welcomed kindly! Restaurant was exceptionally closed but got help to have diner which we very much appreciated. The rooms are spacious and well equiped. Very comfy beds and also the bathrooms are equiped as needed! Breakfast made to order and very tasty! For sure a lovely place to stay. Would certainly come back!

First of all I want to thank the staff at the Auldgirth Inn for offering me a refund after explaining that the restaurant would not be serving evening meals,the reviews for food were instrumental in us choosing the Auldgirth.
