The local area is beautiful, and the hall and grounds were gorgeous, too. The staff were amazing and couldn't do enough for us. The food was excellent, and worth the stay alone. The 6 EV car chargers were a fantastic bonus too which meant the rural location did not hamper any further travel or exploration.

We travel around a lot and always choose an apartment as it offers more freedom. We’ve stayed it lots but nothing comes close to this! Absolutely beautiful apartment recently renovated. The owners Karl and Helen are amazing. They have thought of every single detail. Even leaving us mince pies and some wine. Not a single item not thought about to make our stay as easy as possible. The apartment was so clean and smelt amazing. Very comfortable bed. Finished to an incredibly high standard. Bala its self has always been a favourite place of mine it’s now by far the best place ever, as my partner dropped to one knee and asked the question . On speaking with the owners who were so helpful and kind about our experience and stay that’s when they informed us that Llety Cariad translates to the Love Inn in English. Bala itself is beautiful and the community spirit is great. Amazing food available at the pub next door. And don’t be fooled by small town they do wild nights out! Everywhere we went was so welcoming and friendly.

Great place to stay! Very spacious, we had 7 people and never felt like we were in each others way. Bedrooms were all great and would be lovely to sit on the patio if it were sunny. 10 minutes away from the little town of Bala which had plenty of shops, pubs and food to grab. Close to other locations and sights and within walking distance of a few lovely views. Top stay!

The apartment is beautiful and it’s location right on the lake ensures you have a peaceful and beautiful escape. The view over the lake is spectacular and it was lovely to see all the wildlife and birds whilst relaxing and enjoying the view sat on the balcony with a good book and a cup of tea. The house was perfect and immaculately clean. The location was very peaceful and quiet. The owners couldn't do enough for us and even brought an extension cable within 5 minutes of asking for it. The bed was very comfortable, and the house was lovely and cool, which was ideal as the weather was warm. The kitchen is well equipped and had everything we needed. We loved everything about the house, and we would definitely stay again.

We were there for a lazy and relaxing break, didn't venture out. But there's plenty of activities to do nearby like zip world, white water rafting, fishing, hiking. There's something for everyone, the list is endless or do nothing like us!

Bala is a lovely town at the end of the lake.

Bala is a lovely town at the end of the lake. It seems to consist mainly of one high Street with various shops, pubs and eateries. The lake is beautiful. We hired a double kayak which cost 40.00ph and the whole hiring process was super easy. We also did the steam train ride along the lake which was lovely. There's lots more to explore so I'd definitely go back for a couple of days and explore the area some more.

Bala is in a good location for people that are into motor...

Bala is in a good location for people that are into motor bikes there so so many mountain roads sort twisties ideal for bikes. An old haunt with long gone relatives in the area - good to reminise ! Quiet country town with some delightful scenery around and areas to visit. Shocked that the Welsh highland railway charges such a huge amount to travel. Impressed that road surfaces were so good , with hardly a single pothole anywhere. Very light traffic. Scenery to equal Swiss !

Hosts met us on arrival, very helpful and friendly. Booked as a party of three families. Cottage was very clean and exceeded expectations. Locations was fabulous as we had a number of activities booked at 'Zipworld' and went walking nearby. Our children loved the horses, the gamesroom and the freedom to run around. Adults really enjoyed our evenings around the firepit. Would definitely recommend and will be going back!

Lovely little place.

Lovely little place. The lake is the perfect place for water activities and the hills around provide some amazing views for walkers. The small railway is a great little trip at the side of the lake. Food places are great aswell, so if you like old school welsh towns then Bala is the place.

The room was a good size and both comfy and clean. There was a good choice for breakfast and the Welsh breakfast was delicious. However, the choice of bread slightly let the meals down, although this is only a small point and more feedback to the hotel, rather than detracting from the overall quality of our stay. Finally the hotel is situated n the middle of Bala, so everything within a short stroll. We had two evening meals in the hotel, which were both fabulous, especially the Sunday lunch.

Rooms were very big - had coffee machine, wardrobe big bathroom etc. The bed was also really comfortable and we managed to get a great nights sleep. The location was perfect, close to Bala lake and restaurants/pubs. Hotel also had parking which was a plus. Staff have been great at resolving any issues. Breakfast was also really good - we had options to chose from a menu rather than a buffet-style.

It's a room in a working farm house, clean and tidy. The Bryntirion Inn is a short walk away but isn't open for breakfast so it's a drive into town for that (although the Pale Hall Hotel at the top of the drive may be able to accommodate you at £25 a head. The room had a fridge and microwave, though, so a bit of forward planning will solve the problem unless you want a fry-up.
