This really is a gem of a property. We only stayed one night but could easily have stayed more. It is a wonderful old building from the 1600s that has been beautifully renovated by the owners. You can tell there has been a lot of thought and care that has gone into furnishing the apartment - artwork, trinkets, dinnerware and glassware are all of high quality and carefully chosen. The beds were super comfy. The apartment was perfect for us - a couple travelling with our adult son. We knew exactly what to expect from the 2nd bed as it is exactly as shown in the pictures. The gardens and outlook are beautiful - particularly in autumn when we were there with all the colours. There was lots of heating to keep us watm.

These cabins are as cute as they look in the pics! The internal walls are made from wood and it smells great whenever you renter the room. It has a Very comfortable bed and lovely big bath. It was clean, cozy and comfortable! We loved our 3 nights here and would have liked to stay longer.

We had a fantastic stay at Ballachulish House! The property is absolutely beautiful, and our rooms were charming and well-maintained. The location was perfect, offering stunning views of the lake, ample privacy, and the convenience of parking and the well maintained kitchen. We especially loved the thoughtful and cute décor, which added to the warm and cozy atmosphere. The owners were incredibly kind and welcoming, making our stay even more special. As a family, we want to express our immense gratitude for their hospitality and for making our holiday so memorable. We would love to return in the future and highly recommend the property to anyone looking for a relaxing and picturesque getaway!

I went in Glencoe to visit the Glenfinnian Viaduct, well...

I went in Glencoe to visit the Glenfinnian Viaduct, well known for Harry Potter's films. Obviously the trail was not in loneliness because is very famous but when I took a look around I noticed many path and trail that I could do and I was sorry to not stay more time over there. Highlans are Highlands an take a bit of time to travel around them.

We found the restaurants such as Moss and the Lochleven Seafood Cafe of a very high standard, everything was close by and the pod accommodation was fun and so well designed for comfort. Even the lady at the petrol station was lovely and jokey. The breakfast at the craft centre was good value and excellent for gifts to take home. It was our first time at Ballachulish, but it wont be our last. Perfect for a weekend get away and ideally suited for longer stays too as the area is spectacular.

Great little village in the Glencoe area (not too far from Ben Nevis, which my wife and our dear friend climbed). Dinner out was just ok but the area is beautiful and serene. Getting around was pretty easy by car

A great village to base yourself in.

A great village to base yourself in. Lots of activities on offer to suit all interests and a number of eateries to choose from. You don't need to travel that far to outer lying villages which also have well established set ups for tourists/ visitors.

The most comfortable beds and pillows! We were delighted to discover this great hotel with individual luxury lodges hidden away in the trees. A lovely warm welcome with advice on what to do in the local area. The lodges come with fridges and microwave to do some basic cooking. Following other people’s reviews we didn’t take the breakfast option, there were plenty of hot drinks available in our lodge. After a week of camping we couldn’t have dreamed for more! We will definitely be coming back during our next visit to Scotland.
