This place is fantastic. Gorgeous grounds, lovely food and... Peacocks. We were upgraded to a bigger room as we were celebrating a birthday, and also got some chocolates and a handwritten card signed by all the staff! We had a wonderful time and will definitely be back!

The location was great for getting into London and the sports venue we visited. The staff were very helpful and professional. We didn't get to try the pool because of time. The breakfast was good.

What a lovely little place this is. Close to warner bros harry potter and only 30 minutes into london (5 min walk to the station) the staff were very accommodating i had a great stay!

    Not a stranger to Berko, born and bred. All antique shops and estate agents when I was growing up now full of restaurants and coffee shops which is very nice when visiting. Canal side pubs great. Castle worth a visit.

    Comfy beds was only plus, room cross between caller and prison cell Windows ceiling height Not as clean as it should have been , especially in today's Covid times, cobwebs are clue to room not being properly, breakfast tepid first morning, but much better second morning definitely, not as high end as advertised, parking poor,

    I love Berkhamsted.

    I love Berkhamsted. Went with my friends couple of years ago and we shopped, had lunch and went to the Rex cinema which is great. Went with my husband a couple of weeks ago and did shopping, dinner and Rex cinema. The hotel location is great. We managed to get in the hotel car park which is off the Waitrose car park. Not sure of the parking costs if hotel car park was full. There are plenty of places to eat and drink and some lovely shops, my favourite being The Forge Boutique. The place isn't massive but would recommend for a one night stay and trip to the Rex.

    This is difficult because the hotel was very basic with no facilities. Air con was advertised but was out of order on a very hot day. so it was difficult to sleep. The window could not be opened wide, and there was a lot of noise from the patio of a nearby restaurant below.

    The hotel is on the main high street in Berkhamsted and so convenient. The staff were very nice and the bed was comfortable and the bathroom a really good size. Breakfast was excellent, really good choice and the food was great.
