Stunning little village with a slightly dark but beautiful history. Very walkable with endless opportunity for strolling and hiking, whether it's a wander down the harbour, a coastal hike up to the lighthouse, or a bit of a rock climb up to Warren Point. The village is clean and tidy with all the essentials including a convenience store, tourist shop, a few pubs and eateries, and a few small museums and galleries. Plenty of parking at a reasonable rate. Absolutely worth a visit for a peaceful escape.

Always a great place to get away, The village is better in the morning and evening before and after the main mass of visitors are in Boscastle. A walk at dusk down to where the river and sea meet by the YH is very tranquil and picturesque as the lights come on in the village. Always enjoy walking in the surrounding countryside from Boscastle, out to Willapark with the white 'castle' lookout tower via the church on Forrabury Hill, or Penally Point on the other side of the harbour. For those wanting to venture further afield the South West Costal Path runs through the village. While out walking, around low tide walk along the left side of the harbour (looking seaward) to just beyond the harbour wall to watch the Devil’s Bellows blowhole. The Witchcraft museum is interesting and worth a visit. The Cobweb serves a hearty meal, The Riverside for more refined dining, also consider the Wellington Hotel. For less to eat, a choice of places selling the ubiquitous Cornish Pasty and sandwiches. Enjoy your visit.

Witches Museum is a must visit at Boscastle.

Witches Museum is a must visit at Boscastle. The Other World Shop is also amazing, and possibly the most magical shop you could visit anywhere in the UK! I would park up at the Cobweb Council Car Park and walk around Boscastle once there. The Harbour is an enjoyable walk. If you have Kayaks it is relatively easy to set off from Boscastle. Another great walk is along the river and across the stepping stones and up to the Church (It is a climb) and visit the witches grave of Joan Wytte to pay your respects. The Wellington and Cobweb Inn are great places to eat and drink. The Wellington has the better food but is more expensive. The Cobweb is a cheaper but serve more comfort food with generous portions! A great place to visit when you need a day away from the beach!

We think it is a lovely place to visit , nice walks down to the Sea , giving you excellent panorama's ,Also the Southwest Coast path , passes through Boscastle. You can walk Sections of the path to Tintagel or Cracking ton Haven. The are some lovely little shops , and also a National trust shop. Places to eat are numerous, which lovely meals can be enjoyed. There is also an excellent Farm Shop about three quarters of a mile ,up the hill ,taking the Bude Road .The Food and Views are wonderful.

It was my first visit but my partner had stayed a few years previously whilst walking the SW coastal path ( in the same hotel) but wanted us to do the Crackington Haven to Boscastle walk ( we could easily get the bus from Boscastle and walk back). It was tough but amazing scenery and we were lucky with the weather. We also walked around the pretty harbour, I would definitely recommend Boscastle as a lovely place to visit and stay ( if you get the chance). We ate both nights at the Wellington Hotel which was easy and everyone working there was so friendly it really made our stay feel special.

In a prime location on Boscastle Harbour which was absolutely delightful with a small selection of excellent shops. The room was very spacious with a dog bed, bowl and goody bag which was very much appreciated. Dinner was delicious in the bar , as was breakfast in the gallery. The staff were all friendly and courteous. We would certainly return to this hotel in a lovely location.

An interesting stone building, nice original entrance hall and stairs. It good to see how well the village has recovered since the devastating floods. Breakfast and staff were excellent. We have a second home in St Mawes, (Cornish south coast) and we visited Boscastle to meet friends who came from London for a week.

The location was great for Boscastle, Tintagel and Crackington Haven. The cottage was in good working order, clean and had high quality furnishing, with nice attention to details. The shower was great, the log burner was lovely.
