Lynne and four-legged sweet Clara gave me a very warm and hearty welcome to her stunning house in midst of the beautiful mountain chains of the Wharfedale, and right at the Dales Way, the perfect base for hikes or just for relaxation, for example in the beautiful guest living room with an warming fireplace! Bed was comfy, breakfast was delicious and Lynne even gave me a lift to the Blue Bell Inn in Kettlewell, because the nearby pub Buck Inn was closed and she drove me back again after dinner. I would highly recommend it to stay there, it was a lovely experience.

We loved our amazing drive from Kendal, up through the Yorkshire Dale's. To then arrive at The Blue Bell Inn in Kettlewell was so special. It's a truly beautiful place. The Inn is so gorgeous. Its warm and open fireplace was just what we needed. Geoff greeted us as soon as we walked through the front door. He showed us to our warm, comfortable, and clean room. He served us drinks and dinner, and said a friendly goodnight when we got sleepy and went to bed. We had some fun conversations with him. The shower was lovely, as was our bed, such a good night sleep. In the morning, we were greeted by Gail, another lovely person who served us a fantastic breakfast, had another great conversation, and all too soon we were saying our goodbyes, and were leaving this picturesque village up high in the hills. It's just wonderful all-around. We would very much love to come back and spend longer.

Friendly staff who cared about us and our experience. Walking the Yorkshire Dales in February is exhilarating, but not for the faint hearted. It was fabulous to come home to a classic English country pub, warm and dry, with wholesome food and cold beer. Special thanks to Liz, who greeted us, certain we were comfortable, and went beyond the usual in taking care of us.

It was a great layout for 8 of us (4 couples in an extended family group). The kitchen dining area was great and the location in a lovely village with many pubs was fantastic for popping out and also it was easy to go for gentle walks from the property. 3 bathroom/shower rooms (one en suite) were lovely. Overall the house had the fees of someone’s holiday home that they let out and so get very welcoming.
