We arrived late but were greeted by a lovely gentleman who quickly got us into our room. The room was exceptionally clean, and the bed as extremely comfortable and after traveling for nearly 20 hours we had a very restful night's sleep. Breakfast in the morning was everything that I hoped it would be. The service was quick and efficient, the food was fresh and delicious. We did walk around the property in the morning before we left and it is stunning. I can only imagine how beautiful it must be as a wedding venue. I would hesitate to recommend this property.

During my travels in the UK, which I undertake almost every year, I've noticed that the farther we stay from the main cities, the more authentic the hospitality service becomes. This holds true for the Best Western Lancashire Manor Hotel as well—excellent check-in and check-out experience, with a brilliant breakfast team. I’m an early riser and though the eggs were not ready, someone went the extra mile to prepare them for me. Kudos to the gentleman who was in all black attire that morning.

Reception staff were approachable and quick to book us in. Bar staff were friendly and asked us about our stay. Room was comfortable and the beds the same. Clean and fresh bathroom also. Unfortunately we didn't dine as we were there to dine elsewhere.

The property is very secluded so is very private which is nice as you have your own space with no one around. The place was immaculate! So much detail inside it just gave the WOW factor as soon as you walked in. The host was amazing he came and showed us around and how to work things it even had an ice maker which was perfect for our drinks! Very friendly guy and very helpful. I would definitely recommend this place its absolutely stunning! It's one of the best places I've ever stayed in and I can't wait to go back.

Having stayed for business I spent little time in Burscough...

Having stayed for business I spent little time in Burscough, and lots of time in Southport. However from what I did see it seems a great base for further exploring should you be here for a holiday or weekend away. There are village shops and a couple of very good pubs nearby for eating out - Ring 'O' Bells being great for food. The smaller local lanes are not good for walking - too many twists and turns and hazardous to both walkers and cyclists.

It was located in a quiet location. Plenty of room to park.

It was located in a quiet location. Plenty of room to park. The flies in the room were not nice. And there was a very unpleasant smell when sat outdoors in the tea room garden. As our stay was for only one night we did not mention these problems. But it would make us question a stay of any longer.

Most reviews of other hotels & B&B's say the breakfast was excellent, in my experience, they rarely are. However, the full cooked English breakfast here at Brandreth Barn WAS excellent. Proper fresh brewed coffee, quality ingredients, good choice of cereals and toast toppings, served by the lovely Margaret. The Barn is quaint, and the room was comfortable with a spacious bathroom and tons of hot water. Good tea & coffee facilities in the room, and fresh milk and juice in a communal fridge was a nice touch.

The hotel is set in small gardens and we had lovely views of the grounds from our room. There were fabulous canal walks near by and plenty of wildlife. The staff were amazing at the hotel and couldn’t do enough to make our stay enjoyable. The restaurant food and bar was excellent. Parking was easy. The bed was really comfortable.

Quiet and slightly quirky B&B, a mile out of Burscough (plenty time f pubs and restaurants). Lots of interesting ornaments, furnishings and old objects around the place. Nice tearoom where breakfast is served. Nothing was too much trouble for landlady Margaret, who was lovely. Lots of parking.

We loved staying in this bungalow when we came to Burscough to visit relatives locally. It was cosy and super clean and everything had been thought of to make our stay enjoyable. 5 mins walk to the canal and shops so very convenient. Highly recommend.
