A beautiful historical building with all modern amenities. The bedroom and bathroom were both spacious and well furnished. The bed was extremely comfortable, the spa was gorgeous and the hotel was within easy walking distance of the town centre. Breakfast was delicious and varied and the staff were all extremely pleasant.

In the heart of Buxton, near the Opera house, surrounded by mountains and national parks. Buxton is a lovely town, and The Vault is perfect for the stay, with nice, well decorated rooms with spotlessly clean and modern bathrooms. Felt very secure with lots of private gates to enter before getting to the room. Many places to eat nearby and on-site. There are lots of things to do in Buxton. Beautiful town to explore and sightseeing. There is a parking lot right in front of the Vault and some parking spaces around the property. Definitely would come back.

Fabulous cottage. Very comfortable and characterful, beautiful location, well-equipped and much more spacious inside than it looks from the outside. There are lovely walks locally and the river Wye is just across the road. A pub a few minutes' walk away and it's just a few miles from Buxton. The supply of tea, coffee and milk in the kitchen was a nice touch.

The hosts were a delight. Breakfast was delicious and plentiful. The freshly-made pastries were scrumptious. The location was perfect - quiet and just a short walk to the city centre. Went to watch a show at the Opera House which is a magnificent old building had a meal beforehand then stayed overnight at a local B and B. Town itself has lots of diverse eating and drinking establishments along with a nice park in its centre. Fair few artisan shops as well. Would recommend it for an overnight stay or as a base to explore other areas within the Peak District

Lovely town with historic buildings and scenery. We arrived by train, walked around the town a lot but it wasn't easy to visit places outside of the town. We've had a hire care. We'll visit there again but by our own car.

The staff were brilliant especially Natalie she ran the bar perfectly, she was busy with the Restaurant and she explained the delay in getting to the bar to serve us all but she did an amazing job and she was so apologetic about it but no one got angry about it and she was the perfect bar person,if anything she deserves a raise in her wages and for visiting locations around Buxton she was very knowledgeable, the old hall hotel should accautly promote her

Room & interior of the hotel was spotlessly clean, warm welcome, lots of little extras, sweets left out, signs in prominent places, extra bottled water etc, internet worked well, good breakfast, great location for Buxton Market Square - on & off street parking available. For me the big question is always - Would I stay there again, in this case 100% Yes.

We chose this hotel because it offered off street parking. The hotel is clean, the white fluffy towels and bedding were exceptional. Sharon served us a super full English breakfast, a lovely friendly lady. Good peaceful location overlooking the Pavilion Gardens yet it is right in the middle of things, only a 2minutes walk to the Buxton Opera House.
