We had a great room looking out over the garden and the mountains in the distance, bathroom was also big with underfloor heating. Bar area had an open fire and a wide selection of whiskies, food - both breakfast and dinner were also good. Able to walk around the grounds and wish we had more time to explore local walks.

Location was perfect for what I needed. Mwamba was very welcoming and nothing was too much trouble for him. My room was comfortable and clean. Very well appointed. Adequate off road parking.

The castle boasts wonderful spaces, even if they aren't meticulously designed. It exceeded our expectations because we were given an apartment, which we didn't know...superlative! Comfortable beds and bathrooms. Excellent dinner (one of the best in Scotland) and breakfast too. Unforgettable panorama and silence.

An overnight quick stay before taking ferry from Ullapool. Set in a quiet and scenic area, a classic busy hotel with many rooms, long corridors and gigantic public bar areas. I had a lovely single room with a full sized bathroom. Everything about my stay was perfect, especially the overnight reception staff. I slept well and sadly left before breakfast. I’ll stay again rather than in much busier and more expensive Inverness. Lots of Scottish clan info and classic Scottish images and souvenirs. More used to coach parties, they made room for me at a great and affordable rate.

Mwamba was friendly and helpful....he clearly is very committed to the guest house..and busy refurbishing the premises. The rooms were spotless as was the community rooms. The rooms had a microwave with cutlery and plates in the rooms

We were pleased that there is a little fridge. Useful to keep picnic things fresh such as milk. And there was a freezer section which was useful for refreezing our chiller blocks. A good continental breakfast with a wide choice. Nice fresh loaf to cut to make toast not just sliced bread.

This was a really fun stop for us on our highlands trip. A last minute booking out of season, and we were the only ones there. We didn't do any activities as our daughter is too small but they were very accomdating and the continental breakfast was great. The room was huge.
