The atmosphere delivered by sleeping in a refurbished 17th century style ex coaching station is just amazing. Old stone walls, wooden floors and ceilings and plenty of live fireplaces do make you travel in time. However, this hotel is offering everything you need - top facilities and a very soft bed to take a good nights sleep. I also enjoyed dinner and breakfast in the same place - a 11 out of ten rating. Good food, friendly and caring staff - that all made me feel at home far away from my home! Good Job!

Our brief one-night stay en route to Edinburgh was made thoroughly enjoyable by this great hotel. The staff were particularly welcoming, and we appreciated the spaciousness and high level of cleanliness of our room. The highlight, however, was undoubtedly the breakfast, a truly authentic British spread that left us very satisfied. We had absolutely no complaints whatsoever.

I loved the homely feeling rather than that of a hotel. Also Andi and Mark were so friendly and amazing hosts, the area was great with lots of places to eat and lovely walks and parks nearby. And Frankie was amazing too, hard not to be with a name like that.
