Everything was amazing! The grounds were beautiful with all the sheep and wildlife. The room and bathroom were large. It was comfortable and clean. All you could need was provided. We had dinner at their restaurant, the food was exceptional, tasty and plentiful.

Nothing could have been improved.

Nothing could have been improved. This is an amazing place and the owner is fantastic. Nothing is too much trouble for her and she goes well above and beyond with absolutely top notch service. The room and lounge were breathtaking and the breakfast was absolutely amazing!! Can't praise this highly enough. Go there! You will want to stay for ever!!!

If you're in a car you have easy access to local yorkshire...

If you're in a car you have easy access to local yorkshire tourist spots within a 10 to 50 minute drive such as Whitby, Helmsley and Scarborough. However, if you're not in a car then you need to consider taking food, drinks or snacks with you. We didnt get into town itself but accessed the local coop and takeaway. We were provided with a list of recommended places to eat out. Theres countryside on your doorstep, so ideal for those who like to walk and explore. There were some lovely little villages on route to Whitby via Blakey Road that are worth stopping off for a coffee and cake or a bite to eat.

We selected this location as it was within driving distance...

We selected this location as it was within driving distance to the coast and also we could travel further west to visit other interesting places. A drive up on the Moors is fantastic as the views are spectacular. There is also an interesting pub up there called The Lion. Whitby and Thornton-le-Dale make a great day out as did a trip to Helmsley and Thirsk to see the James Herriot Museum. We also visited Castle Howard which is magnificent. The Feathers in Helmsley is a great pub for dinner with excellent service. We enjoyed a trip to Knaresborough which is very beautiful down by the river.

This is such a beautiful place lots of nice towns and villages close by Helmsley is such a lovely place well worth a visit Also Castle Howard is 8 miles away There are loads of places to visit from a short drive to within an hour depending on preference Outdoor activities all close it’s just a perfect location for all ages Very easy to get around plenty sign posts Lots of different places to eat Yorkshire is beautiful

We loved everything about this cottage.

We loved everything about this cottage. There was everything and more you could possibly want. Welcome treat box was wonderful. Fresh milk on arrival plus a big bottle of pure orange in the fridge too. 100% recommend.

Ideally placed town near the perhaps more popular Pickering. plenty of individual shops & amenities. Great place to base any holiday in the area with whitby, Pickering, Malton & York all within easy reach and especially the Moors.

Third stay at Juniper Cottage this year. It really is like the pictures. Beautifully decorated and furnished and super comfy beds. Has everything you need. Owner also very kindly provided fresh milk, tea bags, instant coffee and a Nespresso machine and pods as well as a basket full of chocolate biscuits, crisps and sweets. What a lovely gesture. Feel really at home here. Location is superb, right in the centre of Kirkbymoorside and close to restaurants, bars and shops. Plus there's free on street parking. Will definitely return.

The location is excellent in the centre of Kirkbymoorside. Parking is decent either on the road in front with extra parking at the back. We were greeted with a warm welcome and our room location was pointed out to us. The rooms are separate to the pub. Rooms are functional and clean with en-suite facilities. Coffee facilities are good (but only one biscoff between us!).. the bed is comfortable and pillows good. Nice big window onto the courtyard.

Everything! A really beautiful little B and B, comfortable and thoughtfully equipped. Lovely room, an excellent breakfast and very friendly, helpful staff. Didn’t have an evening meal in as they were fully booked but the hostess recommended a local hotel for a meal- which was also excellent. Will definitely be back
