Great value for money, an older hotel but very comfortable. iI was more than happy with my room and bathroom. Location was within driving distance to a number of towns in area. Great breakfast with a cosy brreakfast room. A great bar and home cooked meals for dinner, , have been away from home for 51 days and can honestly say I had the best meal of my trip ..Home made meat balls and pasta. The host Amanda was fantastic with a great fun personality, a real pleasure to talk to. I would stay there again on next visit if in the area. If you expect 5 star this isn't for you but if you do you will get 5 star service and laughs.

The room was just ideal for a family of 4 to stop over. So warm and comfy, the beds were lovely and the kids loved the set up of the room. The bathroom was lovely. Breakfast was just lovely and so nice to pick it the night before and have it delivered to your room. The home made baguettes were lovely. It was way nicer than we expected. The baked good were way too nice, I had to place a restriction on myself for visiting the shed! So easy to stay with our dog as well.

Welcoming staff who went out of their way to return a rain coat we mistakenly left behind to us. I’d also recommend the “River Walk” around the side of the property: a short (20 minute) walk through a gorgeous patch of nature.

Everything was great! Location perfect, in the woods, small cozy cabin with nice views, shared bathroom in excellent clean condition and a lovely traditional kitchen. Nathan has been super helpful too and very friendly. Will definitely go back for more days!

We loved the cosy feel of the cabin, and it's location was easy to find. The cabin has a rustic vibe and feels very quaint, perfect for a little Christmas getaway. We did go in December so it was freezing, but the heating was well-timed, so it worked out well for us. But if you're someone who feels the cold a lot, bring along some extra blankets and warm socks!

A warm welcome always awaits at the Grandtully. This is our 3rd visit, to celebrate another birthday. We just love everything about this hotel, the tasteful decor, the food, the staff, we arrived in the midst of Storm Babet, and late for our dinner reservation and the staff couldn’t have been more accommodating. After a 4 hour journey we were ready for a good meal, the food is incredible, the menu is seasonal and all the ingredients locally sourced. With only 8 rooms this place is very special with wonderful friendly staff and personal service.

It has a good selection of walks nearby, a hotel in the village that does good food and drink and a well stocked local shop. Nearby Lodge Hotel has some fantastic lodges with hot tubs. Also quite handy for Blairgowrie and Pitlochry.

Kirkmichael is a quiet wee town but you have the mountains...

Kirkmichael is a quiet wee town but you have the mountains of glenshee to the east and Pitlochry to the west. And an amazing road between. Nice wee shop with cafe for everything you need. Great river walk from the village.

Kirkmichael is a hamlet situated on the River Ardle.

Kirkmichael is a hamlet situated on the River Ardle. In the village are a few lodgings, a restaurant and a small local shop. The village is situated on the road between Blairgowrie and Pitlochry. This road takes you through beautiful countryside, but the road is very winding and mostly single track.

Ken & Moira were very friendly and gave great tips that ensured we got the best from our time there. We ate in Kirkmichael at the local hotel for our first night and again on our third as the food was so good. Although we left our small dog at home for this trip, we quickly found out that dogs were more than welcome at the B&B as well as all the restaurants we visited. Will take her with us next time.

Amanda is very friendly and has a great sense of humor.

Amanda is very friendly and has a great sense of humor. She gives the impression of not having much help (we didn't see anyone else working in the hotel and the bar/tea room/art gallery/pub), and unfortunately, it shows. The hotel is in need of a major renovation or, at the very least, basic maintenance.

Hotel set in a beautiful and quiet location, very friendly couple, make you feel very welcome. Breakfast was good, not the biggest portion on the cooked breakfast. Lovely room and every where nice and clean. Nice bar, with good beer and very good selection of malt whisky's.

Strathardle Lodge is a run by a very friendly couple, who make guests feel very welcome. The hotel is clean, warm and welcoming. The bar has also just been re-opened which is an added bonus! We had a lovely stay and will definitely return!

The location was absolutely stunning. The deer roaming around the grounds were a joy to watch and the lodge was absolutely brilliant. Hot tub was very welcome after some long walks. Meal in the hotel was fantastic too.
