This is an ultimate getaway from it all, so secluded and peaceful. A beautiful location. The cabin is well equipped, and I wanted for nothing. Loved everything about it, to the extent I've already booked to go back in a few weeks' time! Krystyna was a brilliant host, very welcoming, with a cream tea being a lovely unexpected bonus. AND how could I forget the fish food for the carp in the lake!!

Everything. The shepherd has everything you need, it is very relaxing and peaceful. Inside has a homely feel, the bed is comfy and being surrounded by pure nature is a bliss. We did not cook due to the limited time but had a lovely cup of tea in the morning, enjoy the hammocks and the fire pit with a glass of prosecco. Also, Tanya is friendly and approachable. As soon as we asked for wood she showed up in 2 min. It was siimply great experience, couldn't recommend enough. We surely want to come back.

Having been to Devon & Cornwall quite a lot over the years we were looking to stay somewhere that was central so we could be in easily reach of all the amazing destinations Devon & Cornwall has to offer. If like us, you are planning to be travelling on your stay to Devon & Cornwall, West Moor View is in the perfect location for that. We can highly recommend this lovely property and the host's of the property, who made our stay a very pleasant experience.

The people of Launceston are champions for their helpfulness...

The people of Launceston are champions for their helpfulness and friendly advice, information and general banter. The small independent shops which are treasure troves of exploration. The black cat book shop is great to dip into with the legacy of destiny crystal shop only next door. Two vinyl record shops a small museum and the 16th century St Mary Magdalene carved stone church. Also the castle ruins with amazing scenic views not to be missed, These are just a few gems to be experienced in this special place. There is so much more.

Castle town that has seen better days.

Castle town that has seen better days. Very clean.hotel at side of castle walk through grounds into town. Town nothing special plenty of takeaways. I personally wouldn't stay there again, where I would go to lostwithiel again.

We think Launceston was closed for the winter.

We think Launceston was closed for the winter. Small town but very little was open in the town itself. We were not there as tourists so did not really matter. Maybe a lot better in the Spring/ Summer. Or as a base.

Grovetown Barn was a fantastic find. Nestled in the countryside in Cornwall surrounded by fields, spring flowers and lambs. We were greeted warmly by Fiona and given informative information about the room and area. The room was inviting and well equipped, it was very comfortable and so clean. Lovely views from the room. We had breakfast of fresh fruit, pastries etc, very delicious and a good start to the day! Mum and I had a perfect stay here and recommend it. Thank you Fiona and Grovetown Barn!

Very secluded - deep within tiny lanes: lovely but need time & daylight to negociate! It was the most perfect 'bolt hole'. I came down with a cold & can't imagine a more cosy nest in which to rest & recover. Very happy time. A delightful surprise as I'd just looked for a mid Cornwall property to give myself freedom to explore in all directions. I'd never been to Bodmin Moor and was thrilled with all I discovered.

Easily accessible, close to major trunk roads for exploring Cornwall. Facilities were very clean and comfortable . We had a minor issue during our stay when a bulb tripped the electric sockets, the owner responded to our text and sorted it immediately

Excellent hotel location for a business meeting in Launceston that was perfect for our needs. Breakfast was included within the price. Early room was arranged at a fee of £25 so we could arrive early and change for the meeting.
