Lovely walks, a good take away service.

Lovely walks, a good take away service. Pub is within walking distance , prices very cheap, but could do with a bit of TLC to garden. We would of explored other pubs in walking distance if we had stayed longer

A small but pretty village, not much there but we did find a small café open at the community centre which offered breakfast baps and cakes, which was ideal as our accommodation didn't come with breakfast. Lots of lovely walks nearby.

Convenient location for visitng family members, quiet site.

Convenient location for visitng family members, quiet site. Good for dog but daily rate seems a little steep compared with commercial rate of £10 per stay. Has potential to be a very good centre but seems unfinished and lacks some basic requirements. No way of contacting an on-site staff member eg for heating. Mainly self-catered. One cooker for up to 10 guests not sufficient.

Absolutely disgusting!

Absolutely disgusting! Dirty carpets and dirty floors before you even get to a dank smelling room that you have been allocated to stay in. Room was equally unattractive with stained carpet, wobbly table, curry smelling microwave and a fridge when opened, smelt like the owner had stored some Road-kill from the A47 inside for a length of time. Due to the lateness of arrival staying elsewhere was not an option. So big boy pants pulled up, we sucked it up and stayed in a dirty stained bed with ripped, unpressed sheet! I cannot express the most unpleasant experience we had staying at this unkept, unloved dirty room. My advice is to ‘not stay here’. Trust me, you will thank me!

The large house is nice, clean and tidy.

The large house is nice, clean and tidy. There are several other rooms let out but we barely saw the other guests. The area is a little remote but the village is an easy walk. Lots of countryside and many walks and nature palks are all within a short car ride. Lovely country pubs dotted around. I was so pleased with what we got for the money we paid. The owner was very helpful.

The peaceful location was good.

The peaceful location was good. It is supposedly 4 star, but our accommodation wS no way that standard. Dirty pans and rusty, sink didn't drain in the kitchen, there was a rat trap under the kitchen sink. Not enough cutlery, only 3 forks for 4 people, plates were all mismatch and again no full sets if 4 people were to stay. No teatowels or cloths to clean with and no means if taking things out the oven.

We were upgraded to lingwood Hall, found location to be ultra peaceful, room was OK for the price, Lingwood hall is central for surrounding Norfolk country side, very dog friendly, it is self catering so be prepared to eat out, there was a toaster, kettle and microwave in the room, with a mini fridge, which is fine for a snack, Catherine was very accommodating. Our room was on the first floor, which was a bit tiring, carrying the disabled dog up and down, but all in all recommended 👌 for staying whilst visiting the Norfolk Country Side.

I loved this place! It was like a home away from home. The bedroom was spacious, clean and the bathroom lovely. The hotel itself is a little dated, but for me this added character and only enhanced the overall experience. It was lovely waking up to a splendid view. The train station and local shop is only a short walk away and it was very quiet. Catherine that Cat was a welcome resident and the horses also lovely. Very much enjoyed my stay and hope to return again.

Initially I booked a big room in the house, but called ahead to ask for a desk and was moved to studio room in garden, which was fine. Host was very helpful and accommodating. This isn’t a hotel stay, so that wasn’t my expectation. It was very reasonably priced for homely accommodation in the countryside - just what it’s advertised as. Thanks for a nice stay, overall very peaceful :)

Loved being in a lived-in home, rather than an anonymous hotel room. Everything, as described in a lovely setting. The location couldn't be better for east Norfolk, close to the the A47

It was fun for Scruff to watch the horses. A short walk to Lingwood station every 2 days to the seaside. Twice to Gt Yarmouth n once to Lowestoft..
