Clean, comfy and quiet. Host was really helpful.

Clean, comfy and quiet. Host was really helpful. Just off the main road. Not the easiest to find though. Bad phone signal on vodafone and EE. Ideal for a couple of nights away. Close to the beach and situated between Barmouth and Tywyn

I have stayed in Llwyngwril many times.

I have stayed in Llwyngwril many times. It is a beautiful but small village. The sunsets are spectacular and the overall scenery is stunning. There is a well stocked local shop for groceries and a brilliant pub that has a good menu. It also has a shop for buying local things from artists and for taking pressies home. There is so much to do: spectacular walks, a railway station to go to places or quickly drive and explore the Welsh countryside. The local people are always lovely, happy to help and stop and talk. This is a village where time seems to slow down and it simply up-lifts the soul

Lovely place with everything nearby.

Lovely place with everything nearby. Downside pubs really busy so need to book. Train is an absolute nightmare, we prebooked tickets for 2 days but wasn’t allowed on because it was full. People are very friendly and helpful and everywhere is very dog friendly.

The convince of a railway station and beach on the door step...

The convince of a railway station and beach on the door step can’t be beaten there’s some lovely walks and a park for the kids. It also offered a farm shop (we never got back in time to use it so I can’t say what it provided). The village had also been decorated by the yarn bombers and there was knitted all sorts including a Harry Potter theme on the walk to the beach and the biggest knitted welsh Dragon I had ever seen on someone’s garden wall!

Very quiet area, with very limited amenities immediately...

Very quiet area, with very limited amenities immediately locally. A short drive along a very pretty coastal road there are the towns of Tywyn and Aberdyfi. Both towns are pretty with a small selection of shops and bars / restaurants. Tywyn has a petrol station, Co-op and Spar alongside two excellent restaurants “salt marsh” and “proper gander”, which I would highly recommended! The sandy beach at Aberdyfi is excellent, and is worth the visit. Would definitely recommend “Coast” at Aberdyfi for lunch or early evening meal. Just be aware that the area is very quiet and you need to drive / catch the train to other destinations, however it is a good base to do so.

Llwyngwril is a very pretty and well kept village.

Llwyngwril is a very pretty and well kept village. We enjoyed walks on the beach, beside the stream and visiting the historic Celtic Church. There are also many interesting neighbouring towns and villages to explore along the coast. The local village shop was very handy for those essential food items. The free parking in the village also came in useful.
