Hunters Inn is the perfect English Country Inn located in an unspoilt part of the world. I first stopped here in 1987 with my parents and just have to keep returning - but our last trip in late November 2025 was the best ever as there is a new landlord supported by a great family team. Blazing Log Fires, lovely food and simply the most tasteful Christmas decorations and lights you could ever expect. The forest and cliff walks are superb and you don’t need to move the car! We will return!

We absolutely loved staying here, such a charming old bed and breakfast, cosy pub downstairs, lovely rooms upstairs, very friendly staff and guests, nice breakfast and refreshing beer..just what we needed after a long day hiking the Coast Path! Staying here was a great experience of our journey, very classy, very English! Thank you.

Amazing location, absolutely charming and quiet property. Good restaurant, excellent service, classic rooms are very spacious and very comfortable. Everything was absolutely perfect, moreover with a very reasonable price that included an amazing breakfast.

The staff at the hotel made this an excellent stay. They were helpful, friendly, and fun particularly Caroline and Sandra. Caroline gave us lots of helpful advice and travel tips. They always seemed so happy. Food was great, location perfect and the hotel was value for money. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone.

Wonderful and charming place with very friendly and kind hosts. Gregg and Jacqui created a wonderful place where we felt like home. Very warm welcome, delicious afternoon tea with warm scones, wonderful home made brekafasts, clean room with cute balcony and garden view. We really enjoyed our short 2 nights stay at this cosy and cute place. Thanks a lot!

Hosts Drew and Penny were so kind, funny and helpful. Location was perfect nearby some good restaurants. The environment is beautiful and famous for its hiking possibilities. Breakfast was a delight!! I would go back in a heartbeat.

Ideally located for a trip to the North Devon coast.

Ideally located for a trip to the North Devon coast. There's ample opportunity to walk and explore within a short distance. From the flat expanse of the beach at Woolacombe , to the towns of Ilfracombe, Combe Martin , Lynton and Lynmouth. Then there's the miles of tracks along the coast and on Exmoor itself. An interesting National Trust property can be found at Arlington court. More than this. You can walk from your front door. Pack your backpack and off you go. Fuel up well with breakfast though. As the terrain can be challenging. Very steep gradients can lie around every corner.

this hotel is set in the most beautiful valley with views from our room as well as the restaurant. The room was lovely as was the bathroom and we ate the first night in the restaurant. The food was excellent if a little over priced. Staff could not have been more attentive and helpful. Highly recommend.

An exceptional location in a deep, sheltered wooded valley leading to a secluded beach. The hotel preserves its arts and crafts aesthetic whilst offering modern comforts. You can enjoy excellent walks either to the dramatic coastline or up the steep valley.

The hotel's location is spectacular, and our room was comfortable and spacious. Breakfast and dinner were both excellent - they seem to have a really good chef. The staff are friendly and helpful.
