Communication with the host was excellent.

Communication with the host was excellent. The property is a gem if you love exploring on foot or by bike. We cycled to Walberswick and Minsmere. We walked across the field to the Bell in Middleton for a delicious meal. We also went to the Ennerdale farmshop a few miles away to buy some supplies and made excellent use of the perfectly formed little kitchen area in the Old Dairy. 10/10!!

Firstly, it is best to arrive in daylight as the village is quite dark- deliberately so as they are working to remove light pollution in the village. I arrived in the dark and it took some time to find the cottage. The local pub, in fact all the pubs in the surrounding villages included, are excellent for good food and company. The Bell in Middleton was particularly welcoming. I had a good eve talking with local people. The cottage is very comfortable. I spoke with someone in the pub who had lived there several years ago. The current owners have invested in the property by all accounts. Was also interested to learn that in the 1880's 11 people lived in the cottage.

Nice lovely village, perfect location to explore seaside towns and other villages. Enjoyed our visit to Sutton Hoo and our trip to Orford by the coast. Must not forget Walberswick to try and spot a star!
