I felt like I was in a 5 star hotel! I took my mom with a special request to stay ground floor so because it was off season they upgraded our room as it was available without paying more. It is very prestigious, great value for money, walking distance from the train if you’re coming with public transport from London, and very friendly staff. Loved and will definitely go again.

An excellent Inn that was clean and well-appointed. Close to the train station, in the middle of Moreton and very central for buses all around the Cotswolds (bus stop a 2min walk away). Was not too loud, even above the pub and with a room facing the road. Simon and the team were so friendly and accommodating as the new management, even giving us a couple of lifts when we got stuck with the lack of taxis. They gave us so many helpful tips about where to go as well. We also had dinner at the Inn one night and it was an excellent classic pub meal, and we had vouchers to have breakfast at an excellent cafe across the road due to the changeover. Highly recommend a stay, such a lovely and seamless experience.

Really good room and comfortable bed. Breakfast is splendid. The only place that was open when all other pubs mistaken me for gypsy. Food was great and have great and fresh ales. Amazing place, surely will go back

    Moreton in Marsh was a convenient location for a side trip from our visit to London. Very easy train access and a very walkable and charming little town. We used this location as a base of operations to tour some other Cotswolds towns and couldn't have been happier.

    Excellent base for exploring the Cotswolds.

    Excellent base for exploring the Cotswolds. Easily reached by train. Accomodations mostly in historical buildings along the (busy) main road. Large supermarkets and a lot of options for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Especially loved cocktails in the garden of the Manor House, breakfast and excellent coffee at Lynnwood and generous portions of italian at Bellinis.

    Moreton on marsh is a beautiful town.

    Moreton on marsh is a beautiful town. There’s a market there on Tuesdays. Great places to eat gorgeous fish and chip bar. The black bear Inn fantastic food. Bellini Italian restaurant fantastic. Stay away from the Thai restaurant (SIAM COTTAGE THAI) cold food which we waited 1 hr and 15 minutes for. Service below poor. Plus if you order soft drinks (J2O) they share the bottle between 2 glasses and charge for 2. We used go guide to see around the Cotswolds Elaine the guide was fabulous we visited many places Bourton on the water, Snowshill where Bridget Jones (first one) was filmed, chipping Campden, Cirencester - Bibury etc

    Lovely market town with plenty of pubs, restaurants and interesting little shops. Vey attractive. Not too commercialised. Saturday market. Nearby Batsford Arboretum and Snowhill Lavendar Farm are beautiful.

    It is a lovely little town in the Northern Region of the Cotswolds and has a direct train connection to London Paddington Station (1hr 42Min). We were told that every Tuesday there is a mayor Market all along High Street on Morton-in-Marsh with Antiques and lots of other interesting things.

    Nice place ruined by appalling bus service, appreciate it...

    Nice place ruined by appalling bus service, appreciate it was bank holiday but it is a tourist place and a bus every two hours is not good enough. Waited 30 minutes for bus and when eventually arrived drove straight past as it was full. Ended up spending £30 on a taxi for an eight mile journey.

    The room we stayed in, was a four poster bedded room and it was just beautiful, a radio, complementary bathrobes,chocolate,biscuits,water were a lovely touch. Dinner was delicious absolutely perfect and the breakfast was lovely too. The staff were friendly and helpful. The town is served with tea shops/restaurants, art shops, charity shops etc and other towns within a few miles radius of the hotel, perfect for getting to see the Beautiful Cotswolds.

    It was the best holiday home we've ever been to! Every detail has been carefully considered, cutlery, bedding, towels and toiletries, including small things, like the logs for the fireplace and matches - the hosts even left a welcome basket for us of local goodies. The environment is charming, historic details have been carefully maintained and one could read about the history of the house. We will certainly visit again!

    Lovely location. Moreton in Marsh is a beautiful town with lots of amenities. The hotel is on the middle of town.
