Lovely rural setting and a peaceful , quiet location close...

Lovely rural setting and a peaceful , quiet location close to the coast . We were too early in the year for the tearooms but they looked fabulous . The Bush Inn is a couple of hundred yards up the lane and served great food by friendly staff.

It's a beautiful part of Cornwall.

It's a beautiful part of Cornwall. We went in early October, we had some good weather and some rain but it was off season and not crowded. Sandymouth Beach, Summerleaze Beach are beautiful and also the latter has a sea pool which you can swim in. You would need a car to experience the different beaches and other attractions. In and around Bude, there are plenty of restaurants to choose from and pastie shops too. We ate at The Bay View Inn Bude, great service and tasty food. Can also recommend ice-cream from Taste of Cornwall, delicious! Take your walking shoes, and definitely your wellies for a good walk on the beach when the tide is out.

I wish it was more accessible to get to

I wish it was more accessible to get to The road is very very narrow to walk down is dangerous with two cars coming either way! To drive down just as scary with some fast cars we saw. But once down ( via fields ) and road It had lovely landscaping .. great surfing there! September so hard to say how busy it gets.. but it was fairly busy for mid sept mostly a lot of surfers not many swimmers
