Lovely apartment in a small Aberdeenshire village very close to Aberdeen airport. The hotel is right next door offering good quality and affordable meals. Lovely little bar (jocks bar) where you can relax and enjoy a beer or a whisky and the local hospitality. Nice touch in the apartment with a bottle of milk and bread with butter and jam. Also a selection of mini breakfast cereals should you not manage to shop before arrival. The apartment is a good size with everything you would need for a short or even a longer stay. Lovely view from the apartment we had from the kitchen we had a lovely view of Bennachie and from the bedroom and living room the view was a lovely green hill of a working farm.

loved our stay at the Arberdeen Arms. We felt so welcome in this hotel and the service was amazing. we would totally recommend to stay here as opposed to Aberdeen city, it has such a great feel to the whole village.

This was our second stay at the Hideaway and it was just as lovely as the first time. We were welcomed to a warm home, which was lovely on a cold December day. The house had Christmas decorations which we thought was a very nice touch. Everything was just as great as last time - well equipped kitchen, very good shower, comfy bed and seating, fast WiFi. Our dog was very comfortable here too and we appreciate the dog bowls and dog mat. No complaints its a clear 10/10 for us. Thank you for another wonderful stay x

From start to end this has been a lovely visit. The rooms was really nice and bed super comfortable. Our hosts Karolyn and Chris was so friendly and helpfull. And the breakfast it was entierly made with great care and was in total sublime, I do belive it was the best scrambled eggs we have had ever. This stay truly went above and beyond our expectations.

Accommodation was spotless.. everything perfect.. fabulous selection of goodies left for me.. gluten free and soya milk.. homemade jam and honey too. Bedroom was stunning.. fabulous bed.. comfortable and pristine bedding. Hostess came out to welcome me and showed me everything in the bothy also. Views from windows were lovely.. and morning sunrise beautiful.. I walked all along the farm roads and up into the village then back along road to Bothy again , which was a lovely walk. A very peaceful.. relaxing stay. Highly Recommend.

Everything about the Annex was excellent - the furnishings, cooking utensils etc were of a really good quality. Communication with Sarah was extremely good. It is located in a private, peaceful area just a short walk into town. We will certainly return if we are coming back to the area, and highly recommend the Annex.

Flat was warm, spacious and very convenient for center of town: within a minutes walk to To Tesco and food MandS. Parking close by. If you don't know the countryside, Inverurie is a very good base.

Beautiful surroundings

Beautiful surroundings We visited Fraser castle and it was incredible - volunteers in every room and they were so knowledgeable. I would have liked to have stayed longer. The cafe was good too with great scones! Old Meldrum sits on the “castle trail” and I’d like to go back to see the rest of the castles.

First class service from all of the staff.

First class service from all of the staff. Our room was perfect and spacious. Our evening meal was fantastic as was the breakfast. A total relaxed break for both of us. Looking forward to visiting again soon. Thoroughly recommend a stay at Old Meldrum House.

Faultless.

Faultless. Beautiful decor, practical layout, great food, helpful staff, the team here work hard and are getting it right. If you’re worried about spending a little more than you intended don’t be, this place is worth it. My tip would be get the Sirloin in the Cave bar. First class , well worth it

We had a lovely family get together.

We had a lovely family get together. We were made really welcome. The food pack that with us. Was a nice welcome surprise. The apartment was just right for us lovely view over the village. The restaurant being right next to the apartment was very good but no noise at all. Truly lovely. Leak family.

Tricky to find in the dark until you happen upon the arch -...

Tricky to find in the dark until you happen upon the arch - ie no signs to it in the village or on the road from New Machar. We were staying with my son in Newmachar, so we didn't go anywhere else. We'll be back in the summer, so ask me all of this again & I'll tell you, but I suspect that if you weren't into golf, the hotel would seem a bit biased towards golf. So a tennis or bowling green, something to do if its raining e.g. a dart board & a pool table - otherwise its all a bit too hushed tones & posh, but there's not enough buzz when you go into the bar? Oh, and the wifi in the stables need a repeater to make it fast enough to stream. If the TV in the room had had iPlayer ie was a smart TV, we could have watched Tina Turner on it rather than on my phone with buffering!...but these a trivial details. If this hotel was in Edinburgh or Glasgow it would kick every other hotel's butt!

The house was beautifully presented and very spacious inside. The photos dont do it justice! Parking was easy and plentiful, and there are lots of options to eat, drink, socialise or shop locally, both in Oldmeldrum or Inverurie 5 minutes away. The house was immaculate, and the coal fire a welcome addition during a cold weekend.
