We had a very lovely 3-night stay at the Painswick Hotel, we stayed in the Sladbrook room which has a beautiful view over the garden and the valley. It is such a relaxing place, but equally there are so many things to do around, depending on what your interests are. We visited Broadway and Stroud. Libby was very kind and helped us with a lot of information about what was worth visiting, and with anything else we needed. Adriana was very, very friendly, she looked after us every morning at breakfast. The food was very good, the menu is not very big, but everything we had was delicious. We will definitely return.

Dinner was like from a picture book! I find it really tacky when people take smartphone pictures of their dinner in a restaurant but I made sure no one was looking at me when I did just that because my dinner looked just superb and tasted equally great. Service was also perfect. This is a hotel I would highly recommend!!

St Anne's is a delightful place to stay, right in the heart of Painswick and 10-15 mins walk to the Rococo Garden. Lovely room, complete with fresh flowers. Delicious breakfast in the morning. The hosts were welcoming and friendly. Would definitely stay again.

Painswick is a quaint beautiful town.

Painswick is a quaint beautiful town. The Rococo Gardens are stunning and we visited the church but I didn't snap photos of it. The restaurant at The Painswick is excellent. Loved the Beef Wellington and the halibut. Both nights I hoped to be able to manage dessert but could not eat another bite!

Local charity shop!

Local charity shop! Well stocked and sometimes has interesting objects. Worth checking out. Local arts centre and a tea place nearby. Dog friendly zone in the local recreation ground. If you can get the local magazine "The Painswick Beacon" lists what's happening in the area and also local services should you need anything whilst in the area.

We stayed at Tibblewell Lodge which is a fantastic place to visit in this beautiful village. The village has a small shop but it has most things and you can always find a treat or two. There are a few places to eat and drink in the village and the choice and quality of food was fantastic. Painswick is great just to walk around although hilly there is plenty to see and the church is a nice little respite area to sit and relax. It is a breath taking area to visit well worth a visit.

Hotel is amazing , the one serious problem is, we were a large family staying there for a nearby wedding we were told there would be plenty of taxis and uber's . this is not the case , many of us missed our return trains as Ubers were booked an hour before and didnt show and it was the same case to get to the wedding. we were more than 20 staying at the hotel and were all advised that there would be taxis and uber's , Very disappointed but we couldnt fault the hotel or the staff in any other way

The lady was very welcoming from the first time we met until our last goodbye. Painswick is a beautiful place and the surrounding areas were full of places to see and things to enjoy. Breakfast was good and there were places to sit outside where my son and I could enjoy a game of uno or a throw of the ball around without disturbing the other guests. We would recommend to anyone who will listen.

We loved absolutely EVERYTHING about this property. The host Kate was super friendly, the property was immaculate with everything you could possible need. The views were stunning. The location was perfect. A short walk to the town of Painswick and a great base to explore surrounding towns. We didn't want to leave and can't wait to stay again.
