Everyone was so friendly and nice. I had such beautiful rooms both times. The breakfast was amazing! The grounds were beautifully kept and I loved walking around being greeted by the chickens. Definitely coming back. What a gem!

A 16th century classic, with the most modern appliances. This apartment has been superbly renovated and furnished. The bay window overlooking the street was a popular spot during our stay. Richard and Penny spoiled us with a fridge full of breakfast delights, and nothing was too much trouble for them. Petersfield is a lovely market village, and the pictures of the old market square in the passage of the apartment are very interesting. Thank you Penny and Richard for all your care and attention. We loved the stay!

Relaxing stay in a quiet location on a country estate outside Petersfield. The town centre and shops are a short drive away. The accommodation was warm in winter weather and heating levels can be adjusted. The hosts were very helpful in making sure that everything was ready, even though the booking was made at short notice.

Bootmenders was exactly as we had hoped it would be - a homely, cozy cottage surrounded by a lovely winter’s garden. I used to live in Petersfield over 20 years ago and had not been back since. It was even more charming than I remember and has even better shopping facilities, but also good to see some shops still going after 20 plus years.

I lived in Petersfield for most of my life and come back...

I lived in Petersfield for most of my life and come back fairly regularly to visit family and friends. It’s a lovely market town and there is the Heath Lake which is very scenic. The shops have improved since I last visited and there are now some very good bars/restaurants. We ate mostly at Wetherspoon because we had to eat out a few times. The food is good and a very good price. There is a railway which gives easy access to Portsmouth and London.

I actually came to meet up with family. I fou nd the area well located for visits to other towns and villages. It is such a lovely area I was only there for two nights .We ate at the restaurant at Sky Park Deer Farm. There are excellent pubs and restaurants nearby

A pleasant small market town with good facilities.

A pleasant small market town with good facilities. Within range of national Trust properties, and other towns like Minstead. Good road and rail connections, but watch out for the "average speed zones" particularly on the A272 !!

A charming village near the glorious South Downs.

A charming village near the glorious South Downs. We had difficulty finding somewhere to eat on the Sunday night but Ruby and Monty was a little gem of a restaurant (Italian - pizza/pasta) that accommodated us at short notice - they served the best salads and bruschetta I have ever eaten!

Well located for an overnight stopover with easy access to the A3 and Petersfield Heath/Centre. Nice Room overlooking the Garden. Dog enjoyed the walks around the Heath. Had an afternoon drink in the Queens Head in Sheet Village which was also popular with locals. Returned to the Half Moon for a snack in the garden (Chilli Nachos sharing platter) which was well prepared and presented, left the following morning after breakfast to continue our journey to the New Forest.

Very lovely family run country hotel. Service was welcoming and attentive. Modern decor with original features. Nice ambiance. Restaurant was almost full for dinner, as the food was just perfect. Breakfast was simple but delicious with assigned table for each room. Nice size room with lots of high quality branded amenities, even bath bombs! Fresh milk with in room coffee/ tea was a really nice touch.
