Top location...beautiful town...nice people,food everything...a must see. Public transportation 5min walk away to the train station and 2min walk to the bus station. We went to Dover with bus and was only 30min away we saw the cliffs and the Dover castle. Next day we went to Whistable it was only 23min drive with bus...another beautiful city by the sea. So yes the best hotel in Canterbury with good food and very nice staff, rooms and best location.

Opted for a little break away and this place didn't disappoint,rooms spotless bed very comfortable nice swimming pool that could have been a few degrees warmer but was still heated staff so friendly and helpful and the buffet breakfast was great short walk to the centre

Everything at the hotel was top-notch. The staff was friendly and very responsive, ready to answer any questions and assist with anything. The location is excellent. The hotel rooms are renovated and clean. It's a quiet and peaceful neighborhood.

I loved the location and the atmosphere of Howfield Manor. Even late at night it was appealing. Fantastic grounds which were lovely for walking around and relaxing even though all the summer flowers were finished blooming for the season.

I grew up here and remained for many years.

I grew up here and remained for many years. Lovely to return to my old home area. Nice locale. Easy for Canterbury or any coast. Nice and romantic. Loved cycling all around the coast from Whitstable to Dymchurch. Mostly cooked in the lodge.

The house was perfect.

The house was perfect. Beautiful setting and very well kitted out with everything you would need. The owner was helpful and close by. We would definitely stay again and recommend Petham Hide for a family or Adult stay. The bedrooms were beautiful. Disabled facilities were good. A very peaceful area. Pretty village. The grounds around the house were great for the children.
