The location is superb but you definitely need a car. The 2 bedroom cottage we stayed in was wonderful with lots of space and had everything we needed. Car parking was really simple and right beside the cottage. The pub next door served great food and both the staff and locals made us feel so welcome.

What a lovely place to stay! The bedroom was spacious and had a gorgeous view over the garden, the bed was comfortable, and the bathroom was beautifully decorated and laid out. We even had the pleasure of watching two swallows come and go from their nest under the eaves above the window. The cooked breakfast was delicious (my husband LOVED the fried bread!) and we had the best blackcurrent compote I've ever eaten. The farm is well positioned for both Hexham and the Rose & Crown pub in Slaley for good meals, and there is plenty of room for parking. Loved the extra touches on the table out on the landing, such as plates and glasses and a shelf or two of books - very thoughtful and convenient. Thank you, Elizabeth, for making our visit so pleasant - we would certainly return if we come to the area again!
