Roy and Jayne were gracious hosts whose knowledge of the area was unparalleled. The room was perfect. Comfortable lovely everything I could ask for. As a casual, older hiker, looking for wonderful walks of beautiful scenery, I picked the ideal place for me.

If you want a memorable night stay look no further. After we finished taking all our selfies to make our friends jealous we settled in for a comfortable night's sleep. The helicopter and adjacent shed was well equipped with a tea kettle (with mugs/tea/coffee), luggage storage and on theme seating area. There is also an outdoor picnic bench and fire pit available to use. Private bathroom/shower is just a short distance away. Great hosts. Excellent breakfast. Walkable to Lizard village and SW Coast Path.

Me and my husband visited several places around the Lizard...

Me and my husband visited several places around the Lizard Peninsula. The famous and gorgeous Kynance Cove is a must go, and the only cafe right by the beach serves very nice food. The bright green and red serpentine rocks on the beach are just wonderful. We also visited the Lizard Point and saw many seabirds and one seal - but apparently there are many more around. At the village we had food at Chimichangas (mexican) which was very nice, and at The Witch Ball (local food) but this was ok. Another place to see is Cadwith, a small fishing village serving delicious, fresh seafood. We had lunch at The Old Cellars, very nice. From there you can do a circular walk to Kennack sands but we only went as far as the old serpentine works, beautiful views of the cliffs and blue sea. Last but not least, Mullion Cove is also a must see, from there you can watch a wonderful sunset. There is no cafe or restaurante at the cove.

The Lizard is an extraordinary place.

The Lizard is an extraordinary place. We've been travelling there for fifty years. We have never been there in Winter before, and so the weather was not what we were used to. The fog horn sounds continually, because of the mist, but you quickly get used to that, and with the efficient double glazing, it isn't a nuisance. The accommodation was everything we could have wished for. The hosts are lovely. We arrived by public transport---the 34 bus route passes nearby, and is frequent. Excellent facilities and delicious breakfasts, beautifully presented.

It is rather isolated but access to Helston town, The Lizard...

It is rather isolated but access to Helston town, The Lizard and many small coves were easily achieved within 20 minutes by car. Plenty of opportunities for long countryside walks. Many small pubs and Inns within easy driving distance, many specialising in seafood. Suits couples rather than families with small children,
