The flat was in the perfect location for visiting family and for the town centre. It is very clean, modern and comfortable and we all had a great night's sleep. The flat was well stocked with toiletries and kitchen products. Self check in worked perfectly and communication with the owner was easy.

Fantastic lodge in a picturesque setting. Really homely and spacious and very tranquil. Very private with only 2 other lodges on site. Lovely to wake up to the birds chirping and the swans on the lake! A fabulous wood burner heated hot tub. In a great location. A little piece of heaven. A great place to unwind and re-set. Will definitely be returning!!

Rugby is not in very good condition, its shabby and old, the council should be ashamed of themselves. It was a great town and now it’s almost derelict, with some very odd people hanging around, I would not stay in Rugby town, hence me booking Dunchurch.

Rugby is a pretty little town with some history.

Rugby is a pretty little town with some history. Most shopping is now in small retail estates on the outskirts, allowing for larger premises and stock. This means the towh centre has small cosy cafes drinking holes and a smattering of charity shops.

A great gallery with international artists showing work.

A great gallery with international artists showing work. Very pleasant library and museum with cafe selling very homemade quiches. The town is full of places to drink and eat. It has a range of buildings of interest and of course the school and its history. It is easy to visit surrounding countryside and canal side activities. Access from the motorway makes it a great half way to the north if coming from London or South East.

We needed to be in the vicinity and but for the appalling weather that weekend I could have spent a few hours happily looking round, but I wouldn't choose Rugby as a place to visit. However, the Draycote Hotel is such good value and so well situated that I would stay there again as a base for places nearby.

There are some wonderful quirky shops in Rugby and the laneways and buildings have wonderful architect and history. Wonderful bookshop in the city centre, worth just going in to experience how they fit so much into the shop. Dalias bistro is also a unique place to go and eat, the food is very good and it is family run which makes a difference. So much to see if you just go exploring.

It was about 20 years since I had been to Rugby.

It was about 20 years since I had been to Rugby. Lots of changes, but the main shopping streets seem to be doing okay, certainly in comparison to other towns of similar size that I have visited recently. Whilst there are lots of fast food shops, nail bars, barbers and charity shops, there is also a good selection of restaurants, cafés and independent shop. There was also a small market in the centre on the Saturday morning. I suspect the presence of Rugby School brings significant benefits to the town.

Perfect location for Rugby Fake Festival which was literally right outside front door. Whilst a basic hotel you could see the owners took a lot of pride in it adding a conservatory area along with a lounge area. Didn't have breakfast but the breakfast room was very nicely set up. ample parking at back of hotel. Rooms were clean and despite only a two night stay they were cleaned mid stay too. Whilst it was wet during our stay it was very humid and their was a fan provided in room.

The staff were very friendly. I chose this hotel because it was near to the venue I was attending and it had parking. The bedroom was big and airy, had tea and coffee making facilities and was clean. There was a lovely big bath and a decent shower. Two sinks. A pump hand soap. Shampoo sachets. (No shower gel though) It was quiet through the night.
