Beautiful cottage with lovely views, very relaxing stay. The cottage is beautifully clean, warm and cosy, and well equipped. Short walk from Settle railway station (Settle to Carlisle railway with Ribblehead viaduct), and a short walk to the bus stops. The whole holiday was by public transport and very easy. Went by bus to Skipton market one day, and another day a bus to Stainforth for a walk to see the salmon leaping at Stainforth Force and then walked back to Settle via the very interesting Hoffman Kiln. Settle Victoria Hall (one of the reasons for our stay) also an easy walk. Really enjoyed pottering about exploring Settle itself too.

Such a beautiful home. So comfortable and beautifully decorated. Everything you could wish for was there. Little extras that haven't been provided at other properties like washing up liquid, soap, plenty of towels, toilet roll and a hair dryer. The hamper was a lovely treat too, bread, milk,orange juice, eggs and butter all provided. The bed was so comfortable, haven't slept like that in ages! Lovely to have a garden too.

The location is fantastic and the accommodation is exceptional. We only stayed for 2 nights as a weekend getaway but we would have happily stayed for longer. The little touches in the cottage made it so much nicer, having a bottle of milk ready, a bottle of prosecco on arrival and the little things like having an Alexa in the bedroom. The welcome pack is brilliant and has recommendations to local restaurants and pubs which we liked. Loved every minute and would recommend it to anyone looking for a break in Yorkshire.

Windyridge is a beautiful big terrace house on Settle main street. The large rooms are all decorated with high quality furniture and fittings which really suit the ambience of the property. All the rooms are lovely with big bright windows throughout, open fires and comfortable chairs and settees. The kitchen had everything we needed and was pleasant to cook and eat in though there was a splendid dining room/ library too. The locally made grandfather clocks around the house really help to make the place feel special. There are three large double bedrooms and one twin room upstairs as well as a bathroom with toilet, free standing bath and shower. There is another toilet and walk in shower downstairs and the property also has a washing machine and tumble drier. The yard at the back of the house provides enough parking space for two large cars and across the little back lane is a nice raised garden area with a table and chairs. We loved Windyridge, it helped make our our enjoyable stay in Settle even more memorable and we hope to return.

Settle is a picturesque village with lots of shops, pubs, cafes and independant stores. There are lots of scenic walks from the village centre. The Golden Lion is excellent for a meal and drink. The other bars are all friendly and prices are reasonable.

We had one night in Stainforth and had a lovely walk along the river to see the salmon leaping. We didn’t see any salmon but enjoyed our time in the beautiful countryside and enjoyed a great breakfast at The Nettle in Settle!

I live only an hour from Settle and have been there several times on a daytrip. Staying there (for a wedding) gave me the opportunity to explore the town in greater depth and appreciate my surroundings

Settle is a lovely little town.

Settle is a lovely little town. We were there in the rain, but could still enjoy what it has to offer. The musuem is free to visit and a good way to learn a little of the history. Nice Chinese take-away thats good value too. Scenery nearby is stunning- would definitely recommend taking the train to Carlisle, across the Ribblehead viaduct. (Road route of settle to hawes is beautiful too, even in a downpour) We would definitely like to return to the area. A weekend visit was too short!

It is a lovely village in Yorkshire with a very cute...

It is a lovely village in Yorkshire with a very cute gingerbread style station that has connections between Leeds and Lancaster for commuter trains. Lots of places to eat and have coffee. There was a lovely flower pot festival when we visited.

Self catering accommadation affords freedom to "come and go" in our own time. We undertook many walks into the hills to witness Grand views of the Lovely Yorkshire Dales and Industrial gems such as "Hoffman Kilns. The village of Giggleswick is one of those quaint old established gems with the River Ribble flowing through with scenes generally suitable for chocolate box tops. Nearby "Settle" is another old town providing extreme interest. A good area to be visit

This property is situated in a beautiful village just outside Settle. The entire cottage is so cosy and you immediately feel at home on entering. There is a beautiful lounge area with open fire and central heating. 2 beautiful bedrooms with the most comfiest beds. We also loved our little treat of fudge which was immediately polished off by my son. If I’m ever in this area again I will definitely be back.

A really lovely Hotel, very warm & welcoming and just a few minutes' walk in to Settle itself. Lovely rooms and a roaring open fire to greet you when you first walk in. Breakfast was good and wholesome ...... Can't comment on the evening meal as we ate out in town.
