The staff are extremely friendly and accommodating, our historical room was large and comfortable, with a view to the garden, and the bathroom is modern. The breakfast was continental, and included in the price of the room. Cut fresh fruit was available, as were yogurts, toast, tea and coffee, etc., all in all very satisfying.

Stayed in one of the garden rooms, which are little hexagonal pods. Beautiful and cosy. Mind your head!!! Lovely shower and bathroom. Bed was super comfy and inviting and we had two good nights sleep. Enjoyed a memorable meal on Friday evening and the breakfast on both days were well presented with locally sourced products. Loved my home made marmalade!!! Would make an ideal location for a special occasion weekend or mi week getaway.

We loved the cabin and enjoyed our short stay before travelling to the Royal Welsh show. The cabin was extremely well thought out and had everything we needed. The price was excellent and the hosts very friendly and accommodating.

I found Huntsman Hideaway to be beautifully presented and spotlessly clean. Clever use of a small area means there is plenty of room for one, or a couple. The sofa in the sitting room very easily converts into a lovely comfy double bed, I slept like a log! The kitchen is small but well equipped, the shower in the wet room fabulously hot and powerful. Hosts Sue and Ron were very welcoming and helpful answering my many questions about the local area which has wonderful walks right from the door step. I throughly enjoyed the cacophony of birdsong in this otherwise quiet and peaceful location, there is also ample parking. I highly recommend this property and feel it represents excellent value for money, I will be back!

I feel like we had an absolute steal with this staycation. We were all blown away with how beautiful this property is. I spent my entire time saying how I couldn’t believe what a bargain we got. We brought three teenagers and my mother with us and they all loved it. Perfect to get them off their technology. I was so relaxed I almost forgot I have responsibilities at home. We will be back!

The staff were friendly, food substantial and tasty with plenty of choice. Various offers on food and drink make them very competitive in price. The bedrooms, and beds, are very comfortable and warm. Good walk in shower with plenty of hot water. Could do with a couple of chairs to lounge in rather than just the bed to lie on.

If you're learning to fly at Shobdon and need somewhere...

If you're learning to fly at Shobdon and need somewhere close by then this static caravan is a good choice. A little tight on space but comfortable and fairly clean. It can get a little noisy overnight as there is a lorry park nearby and a farm but they're far enough away for it not to be too obtrusive whilst you sleep.
