Beautiful country house set in stunning scenery. The interior decor of rooms bar, dining room and the view of gardens from balcony and outdoor seating areas would be difficult to find anywhere else. And only 30 min drive to Derry/Londonderry and 10 min drive to Ulster Folk and Transport Museum. Great park for cycling and walking along the river 5 min walk away. Walking distance to town shops, pubs, restaurants. Amazing host, John is a very experienced man in the hospitality industry and has everything just perfect for a comfortable stay. Cleanliness 5 star. Breakfast amazing..couldn't fault anything. The big balcony is a bonus and the most comfortable beds We.ve ever slept in. The total experience 5 star comfort and hospitality. I would highly recommend this accomodation.

Strabane has everything you need as a base to see the atractions of county Tyrone, such as Derry and Omagh its close to the border of County Donegal and the west coast of Ireland. If you need a hotel to base your trip there is nowhere better than The Fir Trees Hotel, comfortable rooms, good food and entertainment. Friendly helpful staff and management.

Strabane is well placed for visiting Donegal's Wild Atlantic...

Strabane is well placed for visiting Donegal's Wild Atlantic Way, Giant's Causeway and places like Derry / Londonderry and Enniskillen. Lots of beautiful scenery, good food (Oysters, The Fir Trees Hotel and The Bank restaurants) and very friendly locals.

Strabane is a market town and is an ideal central hub for...

Strabane is a market town and is an ideal central hub for accessing the wonderful destinations North West Ireland has to offer. From rugged coast of Donegal to the Sperrin mountains, Fermanagh lakes and the Antrim coast (Giant;s Causeway) All are an hours drive away and L'Derry is less than 30 mins away. The town itself offers very little to the tourist. It neglects heritage sites such as Mary Alexanders's house and has no park or real focal centre. It has an OK hotel, picturesque golf course, one half decent restaurant (Oysters) a decent bar (Farmers Home) a small theatre but precious little else. So stay here but use it as a base not your destination.

very under rated as some tv programs state, they say you should try before you buy this is so true. perfect place to start a journey if your heading for Donegal or any where north or south the north is the best has a great deal to offer you just have to look fort it sometime it surprise you
