Everything just perfect! We were on our honeymoon and all the staff were so kind and sweet with us. A special thanks to the manager, she made our stay! And the dinner at the pub (with amazing live music!) was simply delicious.

We were there to break a long journey north. Great stopping off point as it has a petrol station and shops. Very picturesque village. It has a supermarket too. But a lovely peaceful vibe about it. Would be happy to stay again.

Ullapool is a good base for exploring the north-west...

Ullapool is a good base for exploring the north-west highlands with Wester Ross to the south and Assynt to the north. Ullapool also has a regular ferry to the Isles of Harris/Lewis. There are public toilets, a supermarket and a couple of excellent chip-shops.

Beautiful location with plenty of places nearby to visit. Good choice/variety of places to eat in the town too. The Shore Restaurant is excellent. The food is well cooked and well presented and the surroundings are comfortable and relaxing.

The town had done a lot to make the waterfront a nice place to walk and take in the views. The paving, seating and lighting were well done. We made sure that we booked for dinner because even in October there were many people around.

The host was incredibly helpful and friendly. He shared with us some history on Ullapool, places to dine and things to see. The room was spacious, clean, had a great shower and was very comfortable. Breakfast was delicious, freshly cooked and the staff were fantastic. I would definately come back.

Our place was just down around the corner from great...

Our place was just down around the corner from great restaurants and shops. The ferry is docked there. Fishing boats and guided tour boats. We were lucky enough to have car so we drove out to the lighthouse which was picture perfect. On our way home to our home away from home (CEOL MARA) we stopped by chance at Rhueart Gallery . It was truly wonderful to meet James Hawkins , artist supreme .

I wasn’t sure about staying at a guest house compared to a hotel as I didn’t want the feeling of staying in someone else’s house. This absolutely was not that though. The rooms are separated by the breakfast lounge with loads of great facilities and the room itself looked like it had been decorated the day before (it really was that spotless). Ullapool isn’t a big place but this was particularly central to everything so only a 5 minute walk to wherever we need to go. The host was absolutely lovely as well.

A ridiculously overpriced hotel on the NC500 Having said that, it's centrally located with easy easy walking distance with all that Ullapool has to offer Staff was friendly and helpful Parking across the street Room was large enough Bed was fine

Fortunately our room had a view over the Loch and Ullapool harbour. Their sister hotel The Ferry Boat, just across the road, provided good breakfasts and an evening meal. The staff worked hard to compensate for the mess at The Argyll.

We stayed in one of the cabins by the water - what a great little spot! Rooms were very clean and comfortable. Hotel was a short walk into town and convenient to all the great stuff in Ullapool. Overall, a great place to stay!
