A very picturesque village.

A very picturesque village. Lovely walks along the River Coquet with plenty of resting places, and a longer walk to the beach. Lots of pubs to eat and drink in, and fresh home cooked food at The Warkworth House Hotel. Lovely home made cakes at the little cafe. Parking was easy in the village centre or by the River Coquet. The church garden had a beautiful range of flowers in the borders.

I love this village.

I love this village. The beach is faultless, so beautiful and clean. Lots of lovely pubs to relax in and we loved walking along the river. There was a reenactment event at the castle which was awesome. I felt perfectly safe as a solo female traveller with my dog.

I ended my Northumberland 250 road trip at Warkworth so it was just a one night stay. However, I thoroughly enjoyed a short trip to the beach, a walk around the atmospheric castle and a stroll around the town.

Nice walk area along the riverside away from the noisy continuous traffic. Short distance into Alnwick where I visited for food, shopping experience and attending Alnwick Playhouse. It was a joy to note that there was no litter or rubbish dumping in Warkworth.

Lovely place with decent amount of eateries and drinking holes. Was out of season and is no doubt better in some respects when the weather is warmer. The castle is a great asset and worth the visit, and there are walks all around. Easy access to other areas too.

No fridge in the room and the tea/ coffee tray and kettle took up all the room on the dressing table . Should be on a unit of its own . Booked a superior room so thought this would standard . No bath robes provided . Very clean , comfortable beds and lovely pillows . Plenty of choice for breakfast . Staff were amazing throughout the hotel

Excellent location in the centre of Warkworth right opposite the castle. In fact, my room had a view of the castle. The breakfast was excellent as I had craster kippers which are local to Northumberland. Hand pulled draught beer was superb.
