Excellent location for parents of Jesus College students.....basically within the college. Also very close to the center of Cambridge! Lovely and extensive breakfast in the main Hall. Direct access to the historical Chapel and its various wonderful services. Quiet location with view on Jesus College West Court. Very helpful staff! Restaurants just around the corner.

Perfect hotel to visit Cambridge. Lovely cosy atmosphere, beautiful and symbolic architecture and interior design, wonderful and helpful staff - particularly Luca and Liliana who went above and beyond to ensure a fantastic stay - excellent spa and gym facilities, stunning views of River Cam, a great selection of Nespresso coffee capsules, biscuits and tea in the room which was an excellent touch, and a beautiful bar and lounge area with a fireplace. The only hotel in town that I would recommend to stay at for a relaxing and an authentic and enjoyable experience.

Lovely little place, with good amenities.

Lovely little place, with good amenities. Well placed for Cambridge and a good selection of National Trust places within easy commuting distance. Two good pubs on the village green, great kebab Van and good restaurant's with good menu selection.

Lisa is a cheerful, friendly and excellent host. Our room was warm and comfortable with lots of thoughtful touches. USB ports, sockets near mirror (for the hairdryer) and a handy little extension socket tower on the dressing table. The bed was comfortable, the bathroom was warm with lovely toiletries. The breakfast was excellent, lots of choice and first class products. The only small thing we would mention was the door rattled every time somebody opened or closed another door in the corridor. It didn’t disturb our sleep as by then the hotel was quiet. We should have mentioned it at the time but we’d had such a pleasant stay it slipped our mind. We came to The Old School Rooms to meet up with friends, we enjoyed a chat and catch-up in the lounge before we went out for dinner. The location suited us perfectly, a bus ride into Cambridge and bus-stops just outside.

The reason for my journey to Waterbeach was to visit some...

The reason for my journey to Waterbeach was to visit some friends so I didnt do any sight seeing. It is a pleasant village, with everything you would need very close by - a post office, pharmacy, grocery shops, two pubs, and even a takeaway. ~Waterbeach would be a great base for sightseeing though - it has bus stops in the village and a major line train station just a few mins flat walk away from the centre of the village. Cambridge is just one stop away! I ate at the Whitehorse pub - I had a fantastic meal there.

Hotel accommodated me very late notice following a previously booked hotel falling through. Room was exactly what I needed working night shifts. Quiet, clean, great fresh breakfast. Ample towels and tea coffee making facilities provided. Lisa was very accommodating and really good to have a chat with each morning. Would definitely stay again if working in the area.

We stay in hotels all the time and that was the best breakfast we have ever had. Food was tasty, cooked to perfection and apple choices. The plates were hot and good quality food.
