A lovely City.

A lovely City. Plenty to see and nice selection of shops and history. Lovely walk by the river and wander around the cathedral. Plenty of places to eat and drink. Felt safe and was impressed by how clean it is.

Worcester has a lot of history and enjoys a bustling town center. The Cathedral is beautiful and well worth a visit. We were there for a couple of hours and it wasn’t long enough. Worcester has a terrific lot of different cultural events to attend, several museums (some free, some not) and a fabulous walk along the banks of the River Severn. Lovely area to visit and hope to go back.

Visiting the city was not our priority this time.

Visiting the city was not our priority this time. My wife was visiting a friend. I meandered in the town. The Cathedral is really magnificent. High Street is pleasantly pedestrianised. New Street is lovely with a series of really nice old pubs (the Charles II, outstanding. The Eagle Vaults has a lovely atmosphere, very friendly staff and nice easy menu.

We were only here for the weekend to attend a family wedding so didn’t go sightseeing. There is plenty to see and do around the area. There is a good pub, serving good pub food, would recommend the fish and chips. It’s only 1/2 a mile from the cottage.

Worcester has so much history in the architecture, and this pub/hotel has the same. It's the oldest pub there! My husband and I spent one night, the staff were lovely, and the continental breakfast was very good although I wish I'd went for their cooked one.:-)
