We went to different restaurants. Especially the river side cafe was very friendly and made us feel really special! The cabin was nice and clean, and the owner was friendly.
The cabin was nice and clean, and the owner was friendly. It was located in the backyard of their house but still comfortable. There were no windows or anything towards the cabin itself. It's close to the riverside, and you could easily walk there. The rest looked the same as the pictures. There were also some snacks in the mini-fridge, but I believe you have to pay some extra charge for them (we didn't use them, so I'm not sure). upstairs was very hot (we went there in July) but while you were downstairs you could easily use AC. Mtskheta can be seen in a day. I stayed for a week due to personal reasons. It's a nice quiet place, with little distraction so I was able to focus on my work. Lovely little town, exceptionally touristy. Very little to do especially in Winter. Truly beautiful, can walk down to the river or around the church, the mountains in the distance are lovely. Everything about my stay was perfect - the host, Giva, was exceptionally kind and hospitable. The breakfast here is truly the best I’ve tried. Not to mention the amazing homemade Georgian scones and various khachapuri/pastries that I was kindly treated to throughout my stay. Overall, would recommend to anyone staying in Mtskheta. Hotel Magdalena is one of those places where the host makes the experience, and you also get the benefit of staying in a clean and well maintained establishment. The breakfast was really good! Lots of space to chill out on the bottom or upper verandahs. The hotel is a little oasis tucked in a half block from the Cathedral. Its quiet. A short walk to a number of restaurants.
