Dodo is a wonderful hostess and very welcoming. The property is easy to find in the village. There is a porch and other shaded area to sit outside. Dinner was very good and lots of dishes to try.

Was a super nice guesthouse, the best one in the village! We could stay and drink beer at the patio after a long day of hiking! The rooms were very clean and big. Also, the bathrooms were extremely nice and I do not think I have ever been in a nicer shower, super deluxe. Moreover, they served us a lot of food which was all really tasty. This is the best guesthouse I’ve ever stayed in so I really recommend it to others 😊.

Lali is an amazing host. She's a very enthusiastic woman and does everything to make you feel at home. Her energy, sense of humor and care for the guests makes her the soul of the place. We felt very welcomed and well taken care of. She provided a FANTASTIC dinner (glass of wine and chacha included) and a phenomenal breakfast. She caters vegetarians easily. The room was really spacious and comfortable, all very clean. Also the bathroom has a great shower with good pressure and hot water. The dogs are lovely and the rest of their farm animals (sheep, goats, cows) are always around to make you enjoy their garden even more. Views are mindblowing, super relaxed atmosphere tucked at the end of the valley. I would totally recommend Lali's guesthouse, it really makes a memorable experience. Madloba dear Lali!

Maybe the best guesthouse in the small village of Zhabeshi. We were the only guests that night and were in the room with a private bathroom (no. 1). The family helped us with anything we asked for and made some delicious food for us. Big portions and a good lunch pack for a reasonable price.

It is well located accommodation if one does the Mestia-Ushguli trek. The hosts are very hospitable as well as their lovely children. We tried only the breakfast, but as it is mentioned in other reviews, the food is fantastic and homemade. It is also very clean and tidy.

This was by far the best guesthouse that we stayed in while hiking from Mestia to Ushguli. The house is very nice with a beautiful garden and everything was very clean. The food was so delicious and we were able to try so many different dishes. But what made this stay truely special were the owners of the guesthouse. They were so nice, welcoming and kind. We loved staying here and would always come again.

Zhabeshi is the first overnight stop on the most common...

Zhabeshi is the first overnight stop on the most common route taken by hikers walking the iconic Mestia-to-Ushguli hike. (There are alternative routes that bypass Zhabeshi.) The village is located in an exquisite valley just below the confluence of the Tviberi and Tsaneri Rivers, nestled under the slopes of Tetnuldi and Banguriani peaks in the Greater Caucasus Range. If you're into mountain environments and ancient villages steeped in history, it doesn't get much better than this.

with the concrete road to Mestia in place (20 minutes of driving), there is no real need to stay in Zhabeshi any more if you have your own car: Mestia has much more guesthouses to choose from and offers shops, nice restaurants, ATM's, ... which you don't find in Zhabesi at all; only if you want to experience solitude, rural live and stay in a family guesthouse , you can still enjoy Zhabeshi
