This hotel restaurant is a gem. Very large fully equipped rooms and an amazing restaurant with some of the best mountain views in Kreta. We had our best food here during our entire holiday. The hosts are just lovely people and will do everything to make your stay as enjoyable as can be! Hope to come back here one day and have a nice cold Raki with them

We are so happy with our choice, will come back again 1000% we wanted something different, typical greek village, Zaros is beautiful you sleep with the crickets chirping and wake up with the rooster crowing. Tap water in Greece, NO! In Zaros you can drink it and we did, a lot! The owner was very nice and helpful, we had homemade lemonade, water, raki and a fruit plate waiting for us. Kitchen is equiped with everyting you need if you like to eat "at home" as we do. We saw the next day that there is a homecooked menu in the appartment possible, which you have to order the day before, we'll try that for sure next time. Nice big balcony, bathroom even has a washing machine. The village has minimarkets, cafes and restaurant, lake Zaros is just a few minutes away with the car.

The property was easy to find ,the house was very clean and fully stocked.Everything you would need was there. The air condision was very functional and more than enough for the house. The owner was super polite and we will visit this property again.

The woman renting out the top of her house was very friendly and nice. Even though we booked with such short notice, she had a tiny snack prepared for us. In the end she gave us two kinds of spices to take. The rented apartment was very big, clean and tidy. A bit oldschool in decoration but very charming. The kitchen was fantastic with all the options it had. The surrounding town was tiny and everybody was very friendly even though tourists are probably not a very common sight here. We recommend going into the coffee house in the proximity of the church. We don't know if it's only for men, but the owner was very kind and gave us nice frappe.

we liked everything; comfortable beds, great stay;very quiet location but still close enough to heaches and Knossos and Heraklion ( car an absolute must). we arrived very late at the property and we were met by a lovely host who made us feel very welcome! even though it was the middle of the night. We thoroughly enjoyed our time at the house; it’s very quiet and well equipped. everything you need for a relaxing stay. if you love being away from the crowd this is an absolute treat!

The village is largely inhabited by older people, but this...

The village is largely inhabited by older people, but this complex of renovated houses near George brings a fresh, modern feel thanks to the excellent renovations. All in all, there's a lot of clutter in the village, creating a somewhat laid-back atmosphere as you stroll around. Waste management is available, though. Streets are paved with natural stone. You're living in an old village.
