The (very rare) kind of property where you come as a guest and leave feeling like a friend. From the insanely delicious (and generously-sized) breakfast to the view from the balcony (either mountain- or sea-view, equally beautiful) and the cleanliness of the entire hotel, this was truly THE perfect holiday. I cannot put into words the generosity, ever-friendly and smiling faces of the family who runs the hotel (Gianna, Manolis, Iorgou - kai páli efcharistó!) - they are probably the best hosts in Crete if not the entire Greece! It was a holiday that none of us will ever forget and we are absolutely sure we will go back!

The facilities were amazing, clean, comfortable and modern. It’s 50 meters from the beach which is amazing. They also had an outside shower where you can wash off quickly before entering the house which is a really smart addition to the house. Everything was just perfect with the house and the owner was an amazing person, didn’t meet him personally but was always polite and very kind.

Myrtos is a charming and authentic village on the southern coast of Crete. The apartment is exceptional—spacious, comfortable, and fully equipped for a longer stay. It offers free Wi-Fi, and every room has its own air-conditioning unit, which makes the stay very pleasant even on hot days. The location is outstanding, just about fifty meters from the beach. There are plenty of restaurants, cafés, shops, and bakeries within walking distance. The hosts are especially kind and always ready to help with anything that comes up. At the end of our stay, we received lovely gifts as a souvenir of Myrtos and our time at Fota’s Home.
