The hotel's atmosphere is full of attention to detail and friendliness. All the staff, the owners and their family, simply everyone, thanks to their warmth and excellent service, make this hotel a place where you feel at home and enjoy life, all in a stunningly beautiful spot. Fortunately, the bay is sparsely developed, and nature takes precedence. We felt like we were visiting loving friends. It was quiet, clean, and lived up to all the stars, from breakfast to the evening cocktail at the bar. We slept so well in this oasis of peace. We would come back anytime. Thank you to this welcoming family who knows how to best entertain and look after their guests. Thank you.

It was a home from home, the owner thought of little nice touches with water in fridge, eggs and bread. Stunning views, comfortable beds, pool towels and towels for your showers in your rooms. Clean, well equipped and very safe. Would love to stay again.

Our stay at Pipis' House was fabulous. The host, Giorgio, was very responsive and helped to accommodate our needs. The house is cute, simply furnished, but with taste. The kitchen is well-equipped, the rooms are big enough considering the overall floor area, and the living area is comfortable. There is a nice terrace overlooking the sea, where we enjoyed our dinners, even if it was already mid-September. The shaded parking lot was a plus, and once we entered by reversing the car, it was easy to go in and out. The neighbourhood is tranquil: no noise, no roosters waking us up in the morning or dogs barking. The location is excellent: from there we could visit the whole island and find different taverns/restaurants. We discovered many beaches, located south, north, east and west, and our favourite one, Vouti Beach, was just 10 minutes by car from home. I highly recommend Pipis' House: it definitely contributed to making our holiday in Kefalonia a memorable one.

Great, fully equiped apartment in a lovely village with a wonderful, friendly and helpful host. Close to the beautiful Atheras beach with warm water. From the terrace of the house you can enjoy a breathtaking view of the sunset. If you like animals you can also enjoy the company of three adorable cats near the house. I highly recommend the place!!!

The apartment is very good equipped with everything one would need. Also the view and the location would make anyone feel like being immersed into an old Greek village. The cleanliness is impeccable so the location shows truly the effect of the owner’s hard work. On top of this, the host is full of advices and tips about any corner of the island, from restaurants to beaches, and from the Cephalonian abies to the Mediterranean moray.

The apartment was very modern and clean. The service was exceptionally good. Despite having direct neighbors, it was very quiet. The location was slightly elevated, and you could see the sea well. With a rental car, you could easily explore the entire island. There was a parking space right in front of the apartment.

It is a quiet area but well worth visiting.

It is a quiet area but well worth visiting. Be aware that it is remote, and if you stay here then everywhere else is a long drive away! Portas Atheros is a good beach and has decent Tavernas. There are walks to other beaches, Agni, in particular , that are worth the effort if you like swimming or snorkelling.

The thing we loved most about Atheras was the peaceful, relaxing, sandy beach and picturesque bay with its turquoise clear waters and traditional fishing boats. Its gentle, shallow entry waters make it particularly perfect for families with young children, people with mobility problems and for launching kayaks and paddleboards. The beach is not ‘organised’ so visitors should remember to bring their own parasols and mattresses if needed as there are none to rent. The added bonus of Porto Atheras are the two excellent restaurants by the beach. The location is rural so a car is as advisable. I would wholeheartedly recommend Regina Studios for accommodation, just a few minutes by car from Porto Atheras Beach or about 10 minutes on foot.
