We had an amazing stay! From the moment we arrived, we were warmly welcomed, and the staff were truly exceptional – both at the hotel and the restaurant. The breakfast was fantastic - always fresh, plenty of variety and local Cretan food always well represented. The food from Ouzaki was also very good. It's not allowed to 'reserve' sunbeds in this hotel - this is exactly as it should be! We never had a problem finding a spot at the pool or on the beach at any time of the day. The atmosphere was peaceful and quiet which was exactly what we wanted. No loud music or parties. Just some light live music by the bar in the evenings which was fine. The room was spacious and comfortable. We were told on arrival that we had been upgraded, which was a lovely surprise. We visited the spa twice during our stay. It was a wonderful experience on both occasions. Staff at reception are exceptionally efficient, helpful and welcoming. The location of the hotel is ideal. The bus to and from Chania town passes right in front and the stop is just a few seconds walk. The surrounding area also has fantastic restaurants. We were spoiled for choice. Overall, we had a wonderful holiday and we hope that we will be lucky enough to visit again in the future!

Perfect Stay by the Beach – Thanks to Maria! We stayed at Ostrakon Suites in Agia Marina for a week in July and loved it. The room was large, very clean, and had everything we needed – plus a stunning view over the beach, which is just steps away. What truly made our stay special was Maria. She was incredibly helpful and kind, giving us all the information we needed about restaurants, sights, car rentals, and activities. The cleaning lady was also lovely and kept our room spotless. Breakfast was at Me Gusta restaurant, they offered breakfast and also served fantastic and very delicious food with a stunning view. For breakfast, we could choose from three options, and we went with the European breakfast. While it was tasty, I would have preferred a buffet to have more variety during the week – especially to try some Greek breakfast options. The best part of the hotel is Maria. If she’s still there, I know exactly where I’ll stay next time I visit Agia Marina. Highly recommend!

My stay here was amazing! Room was superb and very clean. The key card access was also convenient and ensured that only authorized guests could access the room. Smoke detectors and alarm in my room made me feel safe and secure throughout my stay. The activities offered at the hotel, such as table tennis and darts, kept me entertained, and the themed dinners were a unique and enjoyable experience.

Lovely little village with very friendly people working in...

Lovely little village with very friendly people working in the shops and restaurants. Petra is an amazing family-run restaurant with delicious local specialities run by extremely kind people. We went there on this first night and didn't look elsewhere, kept going back and tried as many Greek specialities as we could.

It's a touristy strip of land with amazing beaches and fantastic taverna-style restaurants. Beaches are public but we suggest picking a beachfront hotel and grabbing a sun lounger. Some beach bars have all day music, other parts are quieter so there's something for everyone. We stuck to the beach and had a really lovely time. Restaurants recommendations include: Koupes - we ate there nearly every other day. The food is incredible and the baklava is not only the best I've had, but is genuinely made by the owner's mother! Kosmos - delicious baked feta and lamb, and the best tzatziki. They have a kids playground if you have children, and there are also cats and kittens looking hopeful. Petra Family Restaurant - the mixed grill is incredible and enough for at least three people. The 'beef burgers' (more like flattened meatballs) are absolutely delicious.

Agia Marina is a great area for daytime beach clubs.

Agia Marina is a great area for daytime beach clubs. I would recommend taking the bus at night to the port (Limani) for better food selection, more authentic bars and lounges, and overall social feel. Agia Marina is a good daytime spot and good place to stay in a hotel.

Most beautiful restaurants I have seen gathered in one location. Wonderful beach, a bit shallow but fun, even when there are waves. Just be reasonable and heed the lifeguards. Great selection of supermarkets with everything you need

I love Agia Marina.

I love Agia Marina. It has the longest beach with sandy shore where one can walk along and/or swim in the beautiful sea. There are ton of restaurants for every palate and B&B or hotels. It is one of my most favorite places to go for vacation.

A wonderful beach with several beach bars with sunloungers...

A wonderful beach with several beach bars with sunloungers and umbrellas for hire or for free if you have meals there. The main road can be busy but never felt unsafe, with a wide variety of shops, bars and restaurants to suit all budgets. A very regular bus service to Chania was a pleasant surprise and should be on everyone's itinerary.

We stayed for 5 nights. We had an all in package. We enjoyed the buffet. It was a lot of variety everyday, specially lunch and dinner. Front office and pool bar staffs are very helpful and friendly. Hotel organized a nice hamper of fruits, a bottle of wine for my husband's birthday. They also granted my request with the surprise birthday cake. That was super sweet. 3 pools area was really nice. Rooms was made everyday except of Sunday. Bus to Chania city comes every 30min, takes 20-30 mins ride to reach.

Everything was exceptional. The staff was super helpful and nice. The location is very good , you have a nice sea view from the hotel, with a nice sandy beach. The food was good and diversified, the rooms were also very clean. The hotel helped us with the transfer from the aeroport and upgraded our rooms from pool view to sea view for free. I encourage you to choose this hotel. In front of the hotel is the public bus station and you can go to Chania(2€ per person and the trip is 20 minutes long).

Clean modern rooms with comfortable beds and great showers. The staff were so welcoming and happy especially the reception staff and housekeeping staff. The bar staff at the beach bar were ok but not as good as other staff we met. This hotel is definitely worth a visit its location was perfect for visiting many different restaurants in the area. The bus into Chania was easy to get and the fun train provided some really nice tours

Elia Resort is a perfect stay in Agia Marina just next to the beach with a wonderful see view rooms. The room was very spacious and clean, and had the amenities we needed. Breakfast was delicious and with many choices; it was a very wide buffet spread. The hotel team has always been friendly, patient and helpful. That impressed me the most. No matter what time of day or night, you could turn to them with all your concerns.

The lovely, helpful, generous owners. A really ,warm, and friendly couple and their family. Position at the back of the property, the sea is only yards away! A really good position to explore this lovely, interesting end of Crete. Owners gave lots of suggestions of places for us to explore.
