Elea Suites & Residences is in a beautiful location surrounded by scenic olive trees and is run by a beautiful family who attend to your every need. It is a very peaceful place with an authentic atmosphere and is only a five-minute walk away from the beach and other facilities such as restaurants and small supermarkets. It is a big hotel but very quiet and romantic. A lot of green, swimming pools. The beach is few meters away and all the equipment is free of charge. Excellent breakfast and stuff always helpful.

We spent 7 nights at Diogenis Blue Palace hotel. We loved to be here from the very beginning. The staff was very kind, friendly and helpful. We were 5, and our kids really enjoyed every day. The restaurant staff (Ilias, Claudia, Anna and the others) did their best all day to serve various food (there were lots of Greek dishes) for the guests, and to make our holiday enjoyable. Our children always found something delicious for themselves (usually this is the hardest part for us during a vacation, but this time it was the easiest). Ilias Chef was very friendly and kind to the guests, he constantly checked the quality and the quantity of the served food and in case something is started to run out, or the temperature was not fine, he took the necessary action immediately. There were watermelons, melons, apples, grapes, oranges every day with various quantity. Our kids loved the fruit selection every day and they did not miss the ice cream. Small Greek cookies were my favourite. I always ended the meal with these delicacies. My wife usually eats vegetarian dishes, and she always found something new and delicious for herself. Every staff person at the reception (Ioanna, Elena and Stavros) and at the bar area (Ben) showed us an exemplary behaviour. We had few problems, as once we missed the lunch time, and on another occasion, we lost our lunch box voucher. They were very kind and solved our issues every time properly. The atmosphere of the inner courtyard with the big pool and the palm trees is amazing. In case you do not want to go to the beach you can spend your time here as well. By the way, the beach is very close (15 seconds walk), and there are free sun loungers for the guests. The bedding is changed every 3 days in the room. There is an LCD tv in case your kids want to watch a cartoon during the evening: You can connect your laptop with your own HDMI cable, or you can connect your pendrive directly.

We had a fantastic stay at Noble Hotel and couldn’t be happier with our experience. From the moment we arrived, everything exceeded our expectations. We were pleasantly surprised with a complimentary room upgrade — the space was incredibly spacious and comfortable, making our stay even more special. The food was absolutely delicious with a great variety every day. We especially enjoyed the amazing cocktail selection and the thoughtful gesture of wine from the manager — such a lovely touch! Evenings were made extra special with live music, creating a relaxed and cozy atmosphere throughout the hotel. One of the highlights was how peaceful and uncrowded everything felt, which made it easy to truly unwind. The pools were spotless and perfect for a refreshing dip, and we were so impressed by the friendly and helpful front desk staff. They gave us excellent tips on exploring Crete and helped us plan visits to some beautiful local spots. Highly recommended for couples looking for a relaxing and memorable getaway. We’re already thinking about our next trip back!

    The restaurants were good and not overpriced. The beaches are over-crowded with sun-loungers. The sun-loungers were costing between 10-20 euros for a set. There is no town as such to wander around.

    Our apartment was in Kato Gouves which had several supermarkets and clothes and souvenir shops. There were numerous bars and restaurants too. Our apartment at Fotis Studio Apartments was well located to nearby bus stops that took us into Iraklio and the airport, as well as to other lovely locations.

    Gouves is a place to go if you want to completely unwind.

    Gouves is a place to go if you want to completely unwind. I'd say it's more appealing for couples rather than young families, but that said, there are some things to keep the kids happy. Beaches are sandy with watersports and there is a waterpark, aquarium and Dinosaur park close by. If you want hussle and bustle, Gouves is not the place for you, it's a laid back resort with most places closing by 1am but a few remain open a bit later. The local people are very friendly and treat you as one of their own.

    The Sirroco beach was amazing, Andreas our guy was one of the most amazing guys I ever meet. Also the Island restaurant is great, all the food is amazing. Ask about Irina when you go there, is a great waiter!

    Perfect location in (Kato-)Gouves, just a few minutes from Heraklion Airport and right by the sea. Friendly, nice, loving and helpful owner family. Very well equipped, manageable and family-run apartment complex, with private pool. The apartments lack nothing - everything you need is available. Quiet location and within walking distance you reach everything: small and large supermarkets, souvenir stores, bars and restaurants as well as doctor and pharmacy. George's Bar right next door is an absolutely recommendable coffee spot.

    There are many swimming pools to choose from and the children loved playing in the kids pool. The Bungalow we had opened up to one of the swimming pools which made it easier for our family to get to the pool. The food and drinks were delicious and always available. The entertainment at night was amazing ranging from magic, light and dance shows. The hotel is also very close to a sandy beach which was convenient. All the staff were very friendly too!
