George, the host, has made our stay just wonderful. He saved us money and was so keen to help when we needed input (daily, for us!)… he even lent us car seats for the girls so we saved another 80 euros, he printed our return boarding cards, he lent me a cell phone gps holder for our rented car, he always suggested perfect locations that fit exactly with our needs and mood (e g « girls are tired and we just want a short ride, where do we go ?») He even gave us a gift for our departure and he waited for us with local handmade Greek cookies which we digged!… so overall, a great stay, and perfect location for religious and general tourism (st Ephraim 5 mins by car away, a local Nea Makri beach 3 mins away, st Nectarios on Eghina island is just breathtaking, (1hr to port Pireu then the ferry-boat) st John The Russian 2 hrs away, Rafina port super nice, 15 mins away (by car), Attika Zoo Park 30-40 min away, and the Acropolis 45min-1h away. Enjoy! We had a great vacation !

Very nice location in a quiet neighborhood, few minutes away from the beach of the town center by car. Easy parking outside. Lots of nice trees in the patio which should provide much needed shade and cool in the summer months. The house was very clean, cozy and fully equipped. Very good wi-fi. Hot water available at all times and central heating as well. The hosts were very polite and easy to communicate with.

This is a country house designed with elegance and style. It has a patio and a large garden on oposite sides of the house, to benefit depending on the sun's direction. The kitchen is fully equipped and the rooms preserve cool temperature and are spacious. If you have a dog, the garden is great for running and exploring. The location is ideal, since you may reach several beaches in the area in 5-10min by car. There are a lot of restaurants and beach bars in the area. Zoumberi main square in 3min distance and Nea Makri (bigger shops/supermarket, nightlife) are within 10min distance. The owner was very attentive and reachable. Overall we had a wonderful and relaxing stay.

This is a great place close to the water and many restaurants and shopping. We walked most places but took a taxi to Marathon. This is a local holiday vacation place so some apartments were closed for the season but the restaurants were open. We loved it.

There are several very good restaurants with various and delicious dishes close to the property. It is possible to enjoy a smashing sunset from the balcony (which was extremely spacious). All in all it is a great value for the money.

The Nea Makri harbour area was a lovely place to pass time...

The Nea Makri harbour area was a lovely place to pass time with great restaurants and bars. Several beaches which are functional rather than destinations. It was a 5 minute walk from our property to one of the small beaches. Judging by the people we encountered, Nea Makri is used by locals rather than tourists. Closing the harbour road at dusk to turn it into a promenade makes it a great place to people watch. We struck up several conversations with friendly locals.

A beautiful destination near Athens, so it can be used as a great base. It is bordered by a nice beach with beautiful mountains behind, so it is suitable for both swimming and mountain hikes with beautiful views.

I mostly liked that you can be in real greek society. It was different experience compared to the places which attract the foreign tourists. It was nice and quiet area with everything you need for the vacation - beach, tavernas, coffee shop, local bakery, outdoor cinema, children payground.

Beautiful place, very friendly people. Very clean everywhere and seems super organised and calm. The sea is so clear and clean. As well as the beaches. Lots of little tourist spots to see too. Highly recommend. Will definitely make it a regular trip.

The hotel has an excellent location in front of the sea, the basic problemis that the hotel is rather old and a bit tired although extremely clean , our basic issue was that the bathroom was very basic and not too comfortable, no hot water whilst we were there so showering wasnt ideal.Nice balconies. The gardens were immaculate, the breakfast choice was better than i expected and a nice size pool but looked a bit dirty, we didnt use it...I would stay agaiin for a one night stay but not for more than that.

When you choose this hotel, expect just an OK three star place to stay. It has adequate facilities: correctly equipped room (we got nice pool and sea view), clean bathroom, fridge with free water. Hotel has nice pool for swimming. The staff is very friendly and helpful, and they keep the place very clean. Hotel is also nicely located, sandy beach is just across small street and many restaurants, bars and shops are nearby. Additionally, off season it was quiet and nice, which is also a bonus.

Excellent living conditions, very beautiful house and territory. The hosts are the kindest and friendliest people in the world. A five-minute walk is a magnificent beach (as it seemed to me, the best in Nea Makri). The house has absolutely everything you need for life and comfortable rest.
