Small and quiet village with very good houses.
Small and quiet village with very good houses. However one thing that we didnt like were the taverns. Pizza and pasta places in Greece feels a bit like a joke. The few traditional taverns were a bit overpriced and the food was not that good. Not to mention the fish taverns at the end of the village… quite bad. A beautiful little town with a very charming center featuring restaurants, a bakery, and a supermarket. We ate twice at the taverna Lemonis and both times we had a very pleasant experience, and once at Giannikos Tavern (unfortunately, our experience here was not good). It exceeded our expectations, quite, pretty good restaurants in walking distance, and a must-try is the chocolate pie at the Lemonis Bakery, we had it 3 times, it was that good. I also recommend the Semi-Sweet Red wine at the restaurants, for those that don't enjoy DRY wines as much. We stayed at a place right at the beach (Xenia beach), and...
We stayed at a place right at the beach (Xenia beach), and we would only eat out once a day. We'd usually go to Pefkochori to have dinner since there's a lot more going on there. There are a few consecutive bars on the beach that are really nice (good food, drinks, music, and service) but they're a bit pricey. Great for people with small children.
Great for people with small children. The village is quiet, a lot of restaurant options to choose from. There are several convenience stores working late hours. Paliouri beach has great sand and is shallow for the first 50 meters. You can get a coffee and snacks even on a public beach. Parking was never an issue.Guest review byDarkoSerbia - 8.0

Paliouri is a small village with some good restaurants, and it's not overcrowded. The stay here is pleasant and smooth. There are no notable attractions or places to walk to. The beach is close, the sand is very fine and clean, the water is crystal clear and very shallow. Perfect for families with small kids! The only downside is that the hotel doesn’t have their own beach and you either need to buy and set up your own umbrella at the free zone or you have to pay approx. €20-€30 per person for the closest beach bars (which are crazy expensive, and sunbeds have to be booked a day in advance).Guest review byYanaBulgaria

The sea was amazing, good temparature, very clear, its possible to swim in a special not very crowded bay . We liked the trip too much. The breakfast at Porto Valitsa was very special, each day different menu, each menu was prepared very tasty. The hotel stuff was always very helpful and friendly.
