There is nothing you could not love about this hotel! The location is amazing, a ten minute stroll from the ferry Wharf and twenty minute walk into town. The hotel is so beautiful and well cared for and the rooms are stunning, so traditional that I felt like I'd walked onto the set of the movie Mamma Mia! Breakfast was an absolute delight with everything so fresh and tasty and caters to a very large variety of tastes. Saving the best till last - the staff, so warm and welcoming and absolutely nothing was a problem. This is an exceptional hotel and we loved every minute of our stay. If we are ever fortunate enough to return to Mykonos, I wouldn't bother looking for anywhere else to stay. There may be a few fancier joints on the island but they wouldn't come close to what The Olia Hotel offers.

The facility was homely and the hosts are very good people. Every stuff member was very friendly and always ready to help. The host provided shuttle services all our stay. The wife helped with best location advices. The house keeping ladies were always smiling and friendly. Place was always clean and we got clean towels and bedsheets daily. Loved our stay here. Calm clean and gorgeous. Plenty of room. Views were amazing, the whole place was even better than I expected from the photos. Swimming in the infinity pool high above the harbour was a treat. Couldn't believe the views each time I walked out the front door. Staff were really kind. We got a free upgrade to a room with sea views, and when there was a problem with our next accommodation they accommodated us. ps. there is a €2 seabus that ferries you to the old port and old town every 30 mins. Then delivers you back right near the bottom of the road. And the restaurant at the bottom of the road is great. Prices better than in town, food portion, sizes, service all great.

The location was great to catch the ferry to Naxos.

The location was great to catch the ferry to Naxos. Sea taxi into Mykonos town and in the town was extremely busy with the people from the cruise ships. Mykonos is beautiful but very expensive. The new port for the ferry’s is a nightmare a free for all with very little help telling you where to go or what to do. I’m glad I’ve experienced it, but I won’t go again.

Tourlos is pretty much just the port so v v busy either ferries and most days 3 or 4 cruise ships as well. Doesn’t have a village feel the hotel is on a very busy main road with no pavement so you can’t really walk along to explore.

Definitely the magnificent views and the friendliness of the people. We were told that food and drinks were expensive. But there are plenty of restaurants that had more reasonable prices. To get the most of our trip there, we rented an auto so we can travel to other beaches to avoid the strong winds. There are also less expensive vehicles to rent like ATV, motorcycles, and vespas.

Tourlos is at the best a suburb of Mykonos, and we didn't see anything special;The place is in a few kilometers distance from Mykonos center. To get there on foot, make sure you have good knees and ankles. Shopping food and specially water is not straight forward around the area. Specially carrying water , if you do no have a car, it would be tiresome. The tab water is only usable for taking shower. The hostess was kind enough to leave a bottle of water for drinking to start with.

Tourlos is certainly a less expensive alternative to Mykonos Old Town---as a hotel location---while proving easy and inexpensive access (€2/passenger with the Sea Bus) to the Mykonos Old Town. The island of Mykonos is ,however,---as a preferred party island for especially the younger visitors---not my preferred Greek Island, for exploring historic sites or even enjoying places with a unique volcanic history and topography (like Santorini)....

We stayed at Avra for our mini honeymoon and we couldn’t recommend it enough! Beautiful rooms, the staff were super helpful and breakfast was great. We came back to our hotel room one night and the staff had decorated our room with balloons and rose petals and gave us a complimentary bottle of wine which was so kind. Would definitely recommend staying here when visiting Mykonos!!

Vibey music around the pool in the day, pool area and loungers always immaculate. Just the best! So glad we chose this beautiful place.
