Amazing city, by the sea, lots of activities to do!

Amazing city, by the sea, lots of activities to do! Mountain Pelion is near-by. Lots of gastronomic options, nice walk at the waterfront, small in size but nice museums to visit. Best months to visit would be Oct-Nov, and Mar/Apr. It turns out to be a very touristic place during summer time.

Volos is a really nice and vibrant city.

Volos is a really nice and vibrant city. There are a lot of coffee shops, bars, taverns, and restaurants that can cover every taste. The Pelion nearby is pretty easy to reach and offers a combination of picturesque villages and nature. This time, during our stay, we visited Mezen, Filarakia, and Anemi. Don't miss Filippou cafe classique for coffee, drinks, art exhibitions or music nights.

A trip to the east coast of the peninsula is a must, thanks to passing and parking in beautiful villages built on the sides of the mountains, the road is in very good condition with twists and clear signage. A cruise along the remote beaches of the island with caves and refreshing swimming. The restaurant, whose name I don't remember from the caves, serves tourists and therefore charges an exorbitant price for a small fish and very poor and rather dismissive service.

The water is clean and warm, and it's not crowded if you prefer a quiet and peaceful vacation. There are many beaches and places to visit, and nothing is far away. Villages in the hills are especially interesting, very picturesque with authentic architecture. The air is much fresher and not as hot as on the coast.

We found Volos to be a very nice town.

We found Volos to be a very nice town. It has good walks and a fine shopping centre. It is not crowded with tourists like some other places and there are so many restaurants and cafes. People are friendly and it was so nice to see a town that kept it's Greek characteristics. Unfortunately Volos doesn't have a good flight connection from Athens and we had to hire a taxi, a bit costly but it was quite pleasant to travel in a comfortable luxury vehicle with a very friendly driver.

A dream house located right on the beach in a small and charming greac vilage, close to the city of Volos, more confortable than a 5 stars hotel (and way cheaper). As much as I tried to capture in my pictures the beauty of the house it is almost imposible. The house is way better than you can imagine seeing pictures. The tavern with delicios greacs dishes is near the house and you don t have to worry about food. For us it’s a new standard for hollydays at the sea.

We booked the hotel at 20:30h on a Saturday ( we had to stay unexpectedly due to the floods in Volos). Even though the receptionist's shift ended in 30 minutes, the lady was so kind to make up our room, so it could accommodate my son. She arranged a breakfast for us and was very helpful and kind. The room was very clean and spacious, the bed was very big and comfortable. The room has a nice balcony, a coffee machine, and a desk. It could fit 3 people perfectly.

Staff was super friendly and did their absolute best to be helpful. Loved the overall feel of the place. A little gem in my opinion. Quite new (as of autumn 2025) and perfect either for a business trip or a vacation base. In my opinion, you get a luxury hotel experience here. Breakfast isn't luxury, ”only” great (this is positive!) - it's within the top few % in Greece :)

I had a wonderful stay at 101 Triantafyllidi. The apartment was exactly as described, and in fact, even more beautiful in person than in the photos. The host was very warm, helpful, and friendly. The neighborhood was peaceful and well-located. Overall, this was one of the most pleasant experiences I’ve had in Greece — highly recommended!
