Very lovely and welcoming host, smooth communication and flexible check-in. We stayed one night before starting our hiking trip, but would definitely come back for a longer stay. The apartment has an amazing location and sea-view from its terrace, it's spacious, clean and exceptionally equipped.

The best accomodation with great view and pleasant host. During check in the host offered me degustation of the local vine and gave me better standard apartment than I booked. The host give me opportunity to park my motorbike in the garrage because of bed weather and he also showed me best local restaurants. I had late check out and it was no problem, I get coffee and snack during waiting for better weather. Truly exceptional. Definitely recommended! 🙂

Baške Oštarije are a great base for many hiking trails on...

Baške Oštarije are a great base for many hiking trails on Velebit mountain. We climbed 10 peaks in 4 days and not one starting point was more then a 20 minute ride away from Baške Oštarije. The village itself has no store, so you need to do your shopping beforehand, or drive to Gospić or Karlobag (20 mins) for groceries, or any other service. There is one restaurant in the village - Hostel Baške Oštarije, and a cheese store with local award-winning cheese.
