I had a wonderful stay at Hotel Vallum in Cavtat. The staffs were wonderful, friendly and always ready to help. The highlight was the beautiful sea view and stunning sunsets right from my en suite room. The accommodation was very comfortable and thoughtfully equipped with everything I needed, including an iron, gown, slippers, and a well-stocked kitchen. The hotel is about a 15–20 minute walk from the town, with plenty of restaurants along the way. We also had dinner on the island of St. Pietro, where the hotel offers guests a 20% discount in the restaurant and lounge, as well as arranging a skipper boat to and from the island – such a unique experience! There are lots of sea activities right next door, and Zal Beach, only a 10-minute walk away, is a fantastic spot for swimming. Overall, my stay was relaxing, memorable, and exceeded expectations. I would highly recommend Hotel Vallum to anyone visiting Cavtat.

Everythink here is amazing. We booked one superior room and one penthouse. Both rooms are like on the pictures. Host Antonela is really nice, she help us with every our request, also give us some tips for restaurants in the city and recommend us a driver who can take you from the airport. View from apartment is breathtaking. The apartment is well equiped - including hairdryer, cosmetics, kitchen tools, instant coffee and tea, TV with lots of possibilities like youtube chanel. Airconditioning is in living room and also in every bedroom. Beds but also chairs are so comfy. There is free parking infront of building. Center of the city and beach is nearby. If the prices will be still as good we will definitely come back.

The host was super helpful providing local transport information about how exactly to get to the accommodation with a pin drop. Local buses travel to Dubrovnik at least every hour from 300 metres away on the main road. Room was immaculate, spacious with a very comfortable bed. It looks like the accommodation has been recently renovated as bathroom is very spacious and modern. Host even provided local taxi man information to arrange lifts to the airport 2.5kms away around €15 one way during April. Very pleasant stay and I would highly recommend it.

Cavtat is the perfect homebase for visiting Croatia. It's a cozy walkable seaside village with many restaurants, and not overrun with tourists like Dubrovnik. To see Dubrovnik it's easy and cheap to do a day trip from Cavtat, with boats departing many times per day. As a bonus Cavtat is not far from the airport.

For me it’s too late in the year for sea swimming but not...

For me it’s too late in the year for sea swimming but not for sunbathing if that’s your thing. Not for me, good weather is important for boat trips and exploring further afield and this is a good base for that but can be pricey. Nothing much to do in Cavtat at this time of year and basically it all closes down on 31st October. Half the restaurants are still open but I don’t know for how much longer and they are also pricey. Dinner for two with a drink and a glass of wine is is very easily €100 plus. The whole town gets dressed up and comes out for a walk on Sunday. Very nice, just like Italy or Spain. My overall impression is that tourists are coming with holiday money and they want as much of it as possible. I suppose that’s how you only open for 6 or 7 months of the year. So, nice place and a lovely hotel at reasonable price ( but that may be because it was closedown time?) but be ready to spend!

1) It's a small village, so I expected food to be more affordable. Instead, I found a bunch of expensive restaurants. It was the end of the season meaning not many tourists. Still, no discounts, ridiculous prices. I mean 25 eur for a modest pizza, what's that really??? 2) Public parking is virtually non-existant. If you travel by car, make sure your host arrange you a parking spot.

Very nice town with great restaurants and bars overlooking the harbour. Only 7 mins taxi ride from Dubrovnik airport. Boat rides into Dubrovnik take around 50 mins, local bus takes about the same time. Nice places within easy walking distance for a swim in the sea. Would highly recommend Cavtat for a relaxing break.

Very laid back place to visit ,amazing scenery ,very nice helpful locals and only ten minutes from the airport.Really nice walks in the area and a very good bus service to Dubrovnik.Food was really good and reasonably priced .

Great location with many bars and restaurants. Seaside location is fantastic. Town is clean and well maintained and away from the very busy Dubrovnik Old Town. It is on the flight path to Dubrovnik Airport but you don’t really notice the planes. BBQ restaurant was good value.

The most beautiful location overlooking Cavtat. A fabulous outdoor area with terraces, jacuzzi and infinity pool. The view from the balconies are beautiful. We were travelling with our autistic daughter so the setting was ideal- our own pool, pool house for some down time from rest of the family and very private gardens. Less than a mile into Cavtat- easy walk in every day and an uber back. The villa was so well equipped- cleaning products, coffee, beach towels, washing machines etc. The best place we have ever stayed.

The Location was excellent. Cavtat village is a really nice place. The rooms at the hotel were very comfortable. I had a room on the second floor at the front of hotel with a lovely view of the sea and nice balcony. I had a double room and the rest of my family had a family room. We had breakfast early each morning. The breakfast was adequate. I would stay in Hotel Cavtat on my next visit to Croatia.

We like everything!! Cosy apartment with everything we needed, great beach about 3 minutes walk with restaurants, sun beds and watersports, bays with boat trips to blue caves and Dubrovník (highly recommend these) and a beautiful town centre with lots of great restaurants about 10 min walk. And last but not least, a Croatian hospitality from the owners at its best!

Lovely little boutique hotel. Fabulous location.The rooms are small but thats all you need as you arent in them very much at all. Breakfast was really good. Highly recommend it all . Cavtat is a must stay in place.
