If you want to rest your mind and body, Apartments Vinko are the perfect place. Nestled in a peaceful little bay with a secluded beach, they offer stunning views from the terrace. Everything is spotless, well-equipped, and cared for with great attention. Mr. Vinko and his entire family are wonderfully kind and welcoming. We were fortunate to enjoy fish that Mr. Vinko himself caught and prepared - such a thoughtful and memorable gesture. We will definitely return to magical Mljet and Apartments Vinko. Though it's not super-modern inside, I found the atmosphere of the place very congenial. This was added to by the kindliness of the lady that I dealt with, Ana, who went out of her way to be helpful. And the cat. There is a small swimming spot just a few metres away.

Location perfect , Host friendly and helpful despite small language barrier he couldn't do enough to help us .. even arranged for a mechanic to look at our car when we had a small problem. House beautiful. Everything you need . Parking no problem Mr Mambo showed us where to park .. even got in our car to direct us to better unloading area. We will be back x tranquil beautiful place.

Apartments Lampalo and the hosts were so lovely that I ended up extending my stay by a few days! The apartment is incredibly spacious with a well-equipped kitchen, a huge bathroom (with a tub!), and a balcony overlooking the picturesque bay. I kept the balcony door open each night because the surroundings were so peaceful. The owners are exceptionally gracious hosts—warm, welcoming, and incredibly helpful—they truly make it feel like a home away from home. And let's talk about the cakes! Everyone raves about their amazing cherry cake (YES!), but I have to also mention the delightful coconut cake with chocolate—it was delicious! The hosts also run a restaurant on-site, which is very convenient and offers well-priced, generous portions. I highly recommend dining here as well and having the sea bass. You can conveniently swim right in front of the apartments in the beautiful, clear water. I had a car during my stay on Mljet, which made exploring the island easy. It took me about 35-40 minutes to reach Mljet National Park, though it's worth noting I visited in early June, a quieter time with very few tourists / few cars. I'm incredibly glad I discovered this place. I fell in love with Mljet overall, but Apartments Lampalo played a significant role in shaping my experience. I will definitely be back in the future!

We write this review reluctantly with tongue in cheek … because it’s so idyllic we wouldn’t want anyone else to find this piece of paradise ;) Nadine and Tomas were the perfect hosts. Their genuine kindness and consideration overwhelmed us. They couldn’t do enough. If you get the opportunity to eat breakfast or lunch in the pre season or post season … make sure you do, it was the best meal we had on the island ! They left fresh fruit picked from their garden on our outside table … such respectful people and there were always on hand to help but didn’t ever intrude … this couple have worked hard to provide an ideal holiday home for their guests :) The patio outside the apartment was idyllic … we are swimmers and swam in the sea most days… it’s like having your own private pool with a view that would sum up PARADISE ! The Fjord like landscape / bay took our breath away. We absolutely loved the everything in the property … if we could give Tomas and Nadine 5 stars ***** we would ! Outstanding … the bedrooms were spacious , very comfy beds, great plump pillows and spotlessly clean. The dining room was large too with a TV including lots of channels and a large dining table. The bathroom was huge with a washing machine and all the bits and bobs you need. In fact Tomas and Nadine have thought of everything from toothpicks to magnifying mirror to coffee maker … there was absolutely nothing we lacked, such thought has gone into their apartments Nadine and Bianca … honestly a home from home ! So, finally we would like to thank both Tomas and Nadine for a wonderful holiday … the best yet…we have rested and recharged our batteries and we look forward to seeing you both again next year … Thank you again Laura and Andy x

A quiet seaside village with gorgeous clear water to swim in...

A quiet seaside village with gorgeous clear water to swim in, and a fifteen minute walk away is a little beach with turquoise clear water. A short drive away is a National Park. There is a lovely restaurant in Sobra, called Lanterna, that is right by the water and serves delicious seafood, and the best spaghetti marinara we have ever had! Very special.

Sobra is tiny and suitable for people wanting an exceptionally quiet holiday, or who have a car or bike to get about & see more of Mljet. It has two restaurants and a sandwich shop and a very small mini mart with extremely limited stock (eg no eggs or hard cheese the week we were there). The restaurants are fine- one is predominantly pizzas and the other has a good choice. There are some walks out of Sobra if you’re ok with very hilly terrain and rough underfoot.

Quiet place, 2 taverns and Studenac Market - smaller. Only a few houses in a quiet bay. If you don't have a home with your own beach, there are only 2 beaches - one city and the other about 300m from the village - natural, water shoes required.

Sobra is a small port where you can catch the ferry, rent a...

Sobra is a small port where you can catch the ferry, rent a car, and fill up with gas (it's the only gas station). A car is essential on this island, and the only rental company (Mini Brum) takes advantage of this by charging exorbitant prices. For example, renting a Seicento for 4 days costs €221! Aside from that, the island is stunning, and its natural park is breathtaking. A must-see!

Sobra is a tiny little place where you can find everything you need: two restaurants, a small shop, a fishmonger, a fast-food restaurant, and an ice cream parlor! It's easy to get around on foot, and there are several places to swim!

We stayed for 6 days and stayed in the apartment on the ground floor. The apartment fully corresponds to the pictures from Booking. Everything was perfect, and the most beautiful part is the terrace with a view of the Sobra. In addition to the incredible natural beauty of the island of Mljet, I would also like to single out the owner of the apartment, who is extremely polite and hospitable. Recommended to everyone!

A breathtaking view of the Sobra bay from the balcony - the perfect place at sunrise. A very comfortable and clean apartment located close to the mini-market and couple of restaurants in Sobra. Anita was a super host - very friendly and welcoming. She dropped by some delicious baking too! Highly recommend a stay here if Sobra/Mljet is on your list.

This place is gorgeous. If you are looking for a quiet getaway, consider this! It is a bright, clean apartment block with everything you need, including a spectacular view. Sobra is a lovely little town with exceptionally turquoise waters to swim in and very few tourists. There are a few small restaurants and a little shop for essentials.

Very nice apartment with a magnificent view over the bay. Well equipped kitchen, comfy beds. The host - Antonia was very friendly and helpful, advised us on a couple of questions we had. Sobra is a quiet and convenient place to stay on Mljet, 5 min drive to ferry. We would definitely recommend this place!
